Ryoko shouts [to Metal_Sabre] : "You are now on trial for the crimes committed against Karchan. I will allow Blackfyre to state your case for innocence."

Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : May I proceed?
Ryoko says : "I hope someone is getting all this for later."
Ryoko says [to Blackfyre] : "You can proceed."
Ryoko folds her arms and listens
Ryoko raises an eyebrow.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "You have 5 minutes. I suggest you use them wisely."
Blackfyre says : My client, one Metal_Sabre, has been accused of crimes against Karchan. I intend to prove that he is wholly innocent of these charges.
Ryoko listens
Blackfyre says : Mr. Sabre recently came into possesion of a magical weapon, a Dark Sword. Said sword is made of a dark substance known to hold evil, much as unamed artifacts in the possesion of Zahnos.
torko appears as a surprise witness.
Blackfyre says : At the time my client recieved said sword, he did not know of its powers, beyond a few minor exceptions. As many of you may know, some artifacts have been known to possess a consiousness of their own.
Blackfyre says : As eye witnesses will testify, my client did not act under his own will, but was possessed by said sword. His actions were not his own and therefore he is innocent.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "As I mentioned earlier, this trial is a Trial of Magic. It does not conform to the trial system you are familiar with. The Accused's crimes are of magical in nature. and he shall be judged by magic."
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "What were his motivations to seek out and posses this sword?"
Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : At this time I would like to call a witness.
Equalizer leaves north.
Ryoko shouts [to you] : "You shall call no 'witnesses'. Answer the question placed before you."
Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : Mr. Sabre is a warrior by trade, and therefore has no magic. The majority of Karchan's population uses magic, and he was somewhat at a loss in any duels he should choose to take. The Dark Sword is known to have the ability to absorb magic into itself, greatly useful against a
magic-using foe.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "What was the Accused's motivation to take the sword?"
Blackfyre say [to ryoko] : The sword was a gift to him from one Blackfyre Darklite. Mr. Darklite, um that is to say I, gave the sword to Mr. Sabre as a token of friendshp, seeing his defieciency in magic.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "Being a proficient wielder of Magics, didn't you
know that the sword was so cursed before you gave it to the Accused?"
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "Where is the sword now?"
Ryoko listens to Blackfyre.
Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : Said sword has now been destroyed by my client. I knew the sword was cursed, but I knew one of strong will can easily overcome it. I warned Mr. Sabre not to let the sword use him.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "So, the Accused was informed by you that the Sword was cursed BEFORE you gave it to him, as you have just stated?"
Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : It was my belief that Mr. Sabre would have no troubble in usingthis weapon. I did not account for the power of one Zhanos.
Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : The accused was warned of the weapon's power, he knew nothing of it's curse.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "What does the power of another have to do with the Sword, as it has a will of it's own as you stated, and that the sword belonged to you, as stated?"
Blackfyre say [to ryoko] : It is my belief that the Dark Sword drew from the power of Zhanos to increase it's own. Their powers are very similar in nature.
Blackfyre says [to ryoko] : I do not believe Zhanos knew of this draw from his powers, seeing as he is a god and they are plentiful.
Ryoko shouts [to Blackfyre] : "You have just stated that you warned the Accused of the harmful effects of the sword, but he willingly took said sword into hand?"
You say [to ryoko] : Yes Your Faerieness.
Ryoko shouts : "The statment phase of the trial is now over..."
Ryoko turns to all other people present.
Ryoko shouts : (to all but the Accused and Blackfyre) "You have just heard what was said in regards to the accused. As his peers, you are allowed one vote for the innocence or guilt of Metal_Sabre."
Blackfyre folds his hands together and takes his seat.
Ryoko shouts : "Any members of the 'jury' who wishes to speak on the Accused's behalf or otherwise, please step forward at this time."
Blackfyre looks at his client and frowns.
Ryoko shouts [to torko] : "Please step forward."
Equalizer says [to ryoko] : Please may I say something in Mr. Sabre's defense.
Typhome jumps form the sign and steps forward.
torko steps foreward and clears
Aeson steps forward
Ryoko shouts : "I wish to say at this time that I do not cast a vote. It is my role to get all of your votes. I will then take the result and cast judgement upon the Accused."
Typhome says in his dark voice: He's innocent.....and to all who think otherwise........

torko says [to ryoko] : did you at any time see this aforementioned sword? I had the occasion of being able to see and study it twice...
Blackfyre takes down the case as of yet for future reference and files it.
Equalizer says [to ryoko] : Metal_Sabre is innocent...we all knew the power of the sword and Mr. Sabre was the only person in here with enough support in his own judgement that he thought that he could control the sword and do no harm with it but yet he was wrong.
Katt asks ryoko : what so you can have the chance to alter them NEVER
torko throws away a good spell.
Blackfyre says : Please hold your votes until Mr. torko has spoken.
Ryoko shouts [to torko] : "Blackfyre, being the previous possesor of the sword, was aware of its powers. What do you have to present that would indicate otherwise?"
torko says [to Blackfyre] : she called for the votes, it's over
Blackfyre nods to torko.
Ryoko shouts [to torko] : "Your plea has been noted. A verdict has been reached."
Ryoko holds up the wooden staff, and the ruby-eyes of the wooden dragon-head glow a crimson
color..
torko says [to ryoko] : the sword was able to hide it's true intentions from blackfyre, until it could find
a wielder with, shall we say, the right attributes.
Ryoko points the staff at the Accused, and the magical circle under his feet also glow a similar
crimson color
torko says [to ryoko] : only then will the sword reveal it's true intentions, when it can be assured of
controlling the wielder
torko says : I had a good look into that sword, I may be able to cast a duplicate as an example for
testing purposes. I will leave room in the spell for destruction, of course.
Ryoko says [to metal_sabre] : "By the desicion put forth by this Court of Magic, I hearby pass the
Judgement of....INNOCENT"
Metal_Sabre smiles.
Ryoko closes her eyes...then opens them agian.
Ryoko's bright smile returns to her face once again!
Blackfyre holds out his hand and a sword appears within it; a plain sword, all steel. He hands the
sword to Metal_Sabre, "Payback time?"
Metal_Sabre takes the sword.
Metal_Sabre says [to Blackfyre] : Payback time.
Ryoko says [to metal_sabre] : "Congratulations, sweetie!"
Aeson runs up to Blackfyre and shakes his hand
Aeson says: Good job Blackfyre!
torko says [to Blackfyre] : if it has not afeected you, then I think it is safer with you than others. I think
your powers of magik hinder it's ability to posess you.
Ryoko wipes the sweat from her brow and sighs
