DR. DOMINADOR Q. CABANGANAN, a professional lecturer on management, entrepreneurship and cooperative was president of Samar State Polytechnic College from August 9, 1993 to August 9, 1999. He has an academic rank of College Professor. He received his Elementary Education at Bagacay Elementary School in 1954, his secondary and the two-year technical education at SSPC with flying colors in 1959 and 1963, respectively, his BS degree major in Civil Technology from Cebu State College of Science and Technology, Cebu City, Cum Laude in 1965, his Master's degree major in Administration and Supervision from Marikina Institute of Science and Technology, Marikina, Metro Manila under DECS-MIST Scholarship Program in 1977, his Doctorate degree major in Educational Management from Leyte Normal University, Tacloban City in 1982 and his Bachelor of Laws from Samar College, Catbalogan, Samar under the Faculty Development Program of the College in 1988. A MAN OF ACTION and a peak performer, Dr. Cabanganan started his professional career in 1965 as a mere Shop Teacher at the Samar Regional School of Fisheries. In 1968 he was transferred to SSPC as a Shop and Mathematics Instructor where he rose from the rank and file. He has to his credit over 34 years of colorful teaching experience in Voch-Tech, Management and Professional courses. From a mere classroom teacher he was promoted to Junior College Instructor, Instructor II, Vocational Instruction Supervisor, Supervisor of Student Teaching, Dean of Graduate School, Vice-President and finally President of the College. He has also attended various trainings and travel grants in Australia, Singapore and Indonesia in the fields of Education, Management and Technology aside from his numerous in-service trainings in the country. As a professional lecturer he has presented and discussed in various fora position papers on management, thesis and dissertation writing, governance, in-plant training program, entrepreneurship and academe-industry linkages.
