i lay in bed alone at night

and vision you in my slumber

i wonder where you may be

and what you may be doing

 

i close my eyes and pretend

that your warm body is next to mine

i feel your arms wrapped around me

i feel your breath against my skin

 

i wonder if you have any idea

how much i think of you

how much i talk about you

or even just how much i care

 

i want to give the world to you

i want to see you laugh and smile

i want to know your biggest fears

and then make them all go away

 

i wonder if you ever close your eyes

and imagine what it would be like

to touch me, to taste me

to smell me, to see me before you

 

i look up at the moon and stars

each and every night

and i wonder if you see them too

and think of me like i think of you
