Police said the victim, Syed Asghar Ali Zaidi, aged 32, was in his tailoring shop on Kara Bhai Karim Jee Road in Naya Abad when an assailant came to his shop and opened fire on him. He was rushed to Civil Hospital where he died.

The assailant escaped, with his accomplice, who was waiting outside the shop, on a motorcycle. They escaped into the narrow streets of the area without facing any resistance from law-enforcement personnel.
