Doctor was shot dead in New Karachi

KARACHI, Feb 4: A doctor was shot dead in New Karachi on Monday night. The police said that Dr Fayyaz Karim, aged 45, was coming out of Masjid Ibrahim Khalilullah near Afaq Poly Clinic in sector 5-C in North Karachi
, when he was fired upon by two unidentified assailants who were riding on a motorcycle.
The doctor was hit by a bullet in the head. He died on the spot. The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem, the police said. The police said that the dead man was a doctor at Civil Hospital. A watchman was shot dead in Baloch Colony in the early hours.
