VEHARI, Feb 26: A Tehrike-Jafria Pakistan activist of chowk Jamal was shot dead by two unknown motorcyclists on Monday morning on Vehari-Khanewal road, some 18 km from here.

Syed Tanveer Husain Shah was going to chowk Jamal with his sister by a car from Vehari. When he reached near Withiyan Wala stop, two unknown motorcyclists shot at him, killing him on the spot. His sister remained safe.

After the killing, the police arrested dozens of activists of Sipah-i-Sahaba from various part of the district.
