KARACHI, Feb 5: Unidentified gunmen shot dead two activists of Tehrik-i-Jaffaria Pakistan (TJP) at Soldier Bazaar here on Monday night. According to witnesses, Nazeer Abbas, 35, and Muzaffar Ali Kirmani, 42, were sitting at a public call office (PCO) near Hussaini Blood Bank at Soldier Bazaar when the gunmen came in a white-coloured car and opened indiscriminate fire on them, killing them on the spot.

Their bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital and after autopsy were taken back to Soldier Bazaar for funeral prayers.

Muzaffar Kirmani, father of five, had been residing in Qasr-i-Zainab at Mithadar, the Tehrik sources said. He had been elected provincial finance secretary of TJP twice in the past, they added. Nazeer Abbas, father of a daughter, had set up a PCO six months back near Hussaini Blood Bank after remaining jobless for a long time, they said.

The TJP Sindh president, Allama Hasan Turabi, accused the Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan for the killings of his partymen.
