Former TJP leader shot dead in VEHARI

VEHARI, April 3: A former president of the Tehrik-i-Jafria Pakistan, Vehari, was shot dead on the Multan Road on Monday night. Liaquat Ali Gujjar, accompanied by two friends, was on his way home in Chak 95/WB from Thingi in a car. Near Chak 98/WB, two motorcyclists blocked the road and opened fire on Mr Gujjar who was in the driving seat. He died.

The shooting took place at 10pm. After midnight, police raided various houses in the Thingi Colony and Chak 95/WB, and took into custody some suspects for interrogation.

However, their was no clue to the killers till the filing of this report on Tuesday night.
