A homeopath, Karamat Ali, was shot dead in Orangi Town Extension.
H/Dr Karamat Ali, aged 30, left his clinic in Gulshan-i-Zia late on Sunday for home in Raees Amrohvi Colony, on his motorcycle (KCN-3232). When he reached Ghaziabad, Sector 11 1/2, he was ambushed by unidentified men.
Dr Karamat, hailing from Narowal, and father of two, died on the spot. His body was sent to a hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the family.
The police registered a case against unknown persons. A police official at the area police station said: "The motive for the killing does not appear to be personal enmity, but it is too early to declare it a terrorist activity."
