KARACHI: Unidentified assailants killed a middle-aged doctor and a policeman in two incidents of target shooting on Saturday. Dr Capt (retd) Nayyar Hussain, 46, was gunned down in Orangi Extension. Sources said unknown people ambushed his car (M-3450) near Akbar Shaheed Chowk in Sector 14 and he died of multiple bullet wounds. Police shifted the corpse to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Dr Nayyar, it may be recalled, was the third doctor who lost his life in armed attacks in the same vicinity. Dr. Karamat Ali was gunned down on November 30 while he was going on his motorbike and Dr Altaf Husain was shot dead on October 31 near Qureshi Market.
