Five Shias killed in Multan and Sheikhupura

MULTAN, July 23: Five people were gunned down in two separate attacks by terrorists in Vehari and
Sheikhupura districts on Wednesday.
Four people were killed when some armed men fired at them in a bazaar of Mailsi, some 100 km from
here. Eyewitnesses said four assailants, riding on two motorcycles, had fired at Chaudhry Bakhtiar
Ghallu, who was present at a provision store owned by Shaukat. The store owner was also hit by the
bullets and died on the spot.
Two more people - Muhammad Ramazan and Fazal Husain - were gunned down and another, Irshad
Ahmad, was injured when they tried to overpower the attackers, the eyewitnesses added. Irshad was
removed to hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
Over a dozen people had been killed at the house of deceased Bakhtiar Ghallu last year (more) when a Majlis
being held there was attacked by terrorists.
SHEIKHUPURA: Hakeem Manzoor Husain Shah was shot dead by two motorcyclists in
Sheikhupura. Hakeem Manzoor was at his shop in Fazal Colony on the Lahore Road when two armed
men came on a motorbike and fired a volley of bullets at him, killing him on the spot. The assailants
then fled on their motorbike. The Factory Area police are investigating.
