Lostsinger Plains
.         Both you and Deidre sit in silence for several momments, thinking about the tale of Eadaoin. You shiver a little. It sounds like a ghost story, but it has too much of a ring of truth. Listining to the eerie keening of the breeze, you're inclined to agree with the girl's father. If that were a person, you would definately say that the noise was made in greif. You glance at your new friend, who is broodingly gazing at the eggs. "You don't...live here, do you?" you ask uncertainly, partially because the idea is horrifying to you, and partially so you can cover some of that noise with words. Deidre gives you her first smile of the night, a surprisingly sweet expression for someone as suspicious and determined as you think she might be. "Not at all. I live over there, in the forest. I have a little cottage of my own, although it is far from much to look at." she admits ruefully. "I just came out here tonight because this pond alows you to see things in other places. I like to think that it was Eadaoin's, used in happier times to keep an eye on her wandering lover." she confides, her smile making a breif encore. She reachs out and touches the edge of the nest, and the image shivers, making you realize that the pond isn't all dried up--it looks like a reflection while shivering, but then it goes back to looking normal after Deidre removes her hand.

"These eggs are the new Eclipse mixies at
Spectral Rhea. They're a whole new type of dragon, the offspring of a male Demon Dragon, Hatari and a female Electric, Flowr," she explains eagerly.  "I am very fond of dragons, you see. I once or twice saw one fly over the plains, to the mountain peak, where they live. I feel kind've like a spy here, but I truly want to see them hatch, since I can never seem to see a dragon up close. I'm also curious about what they're be like. People coming in the room think it'll be inclined toward the night and aggressive to outsiders, like the father, but have the caring and kindness of the electric dragons among the pack. They speculate that the hatchlings will want to live in packs, as well." She hesitates and looks at you shyly before continuing. "I don't think I'll ever see one in person...but they are giving out the hatchlings, kind've like fosterlings...and I am still a little hopefull that maybe one will come to live on the plains here, too." She smiles a little tiny bit. "I even got a little stuffed MyrKat for it to play with." she admits sheepishly, holding up a small stuffed creature.

Both of you talk a little longer, and eventually you decide it's time to go home. "I should head to my bed as well," Deidre admits reluctantly. "It's easy to lose track of time here." She gives the eggs one last, longing look, then turns and begins to climb out of the little basin. "If you follow me, I will lead you off the plains, so you don't get lost. You can even stay with me tonight, if you wish." she offers, surprising you. She didn't seem to be the type to leave herself vulnerable while sleeping, but you won't look a gift horse in the mouth. You smile and agree, and the two of you head toward the forest.
