Pitbulls make up a large number of pets in Northeast Kansas City. As many of you don't know, pitbull bans are the latest techniques in creating a false sense of security in communities. Breed specific legislation has been challenged in Ohio and the Supreme Court overturned a lower courts ruling because the ban was "vague and overbroad". It looks like this pitbull has found a comfortable place to stay and is certain no legislation will end this life. Some owners in Northeast Kansas City are rumoured saying they would rather let their pitbulls go than to have them euthanized. In short, irresponsible dog owners are the root cause of dog bites. Current laws (if enforced) are adequate and BSL would not be necessary. A definite addition to the security team for those long nights when East Patrol is afraid to show their faces in Northeast Kansas City. Actually, this happens quite often. |
