Part of my frustration in Northeast Kansas City stems from lack of city services or sub-standard city services. Here are some pictures of a Public Works crew/Street Division who decided to block an alley next to 509 Benton Blvd for nearly an hour. Are they on lunch? Are they utilizing city vehicles and resources to do private work? I'm not sure. I cannot imagine a job needing done in the backyard of a private residence from our "Street Division". If I were the boss, I would see what they were up to. Oh, wait a minute, the boss is in the orange pickup. Oh well, anyway. It seems the city cannot provide services while a truck sits running empty for one hour or more, with the other truck backed into a private residence. So......are you satisfied with the quality of city services? If not, WE CAN ALL SEE WHY! At least they could be courteous enough to not block the alley. It took three empty trucks to block one alley. All of the engines were running with the A/C on baby! The sad part is the city will make up some BS story legitimizing this entire sequence of photos. |
