Part One

Angel walked down the street numbly, ignoring the people he bumped into. He was fully aware the clothes he wore were ripped, bloody, and tattered. The vampire gripped the stake in his pocket tightly, dismissing the stares of disdain he got. He was used to them. And deserved them. He kept walking until he reached a somewhat familiar lot. The group of orphans stopped and stared in dismay. Angel! Charles Gunn appeared, smiling. His smile slowly faded when he saw his friend in full. Whats going on.

Angel grabbed Gunns arm and hauled him over to the side. Get out of here. Leave.

Gunns furrowed his brow. Huh? Why? What the hell happened?

Cordelias a vampire. Wesleys dead. You have to get out.

Gunns face echoed that of shock and anger. What happened. He replied through clenched teeth. Angel lowered his head. Angel.

Angel sighed, a broken man. I lost control. With everything. Angelus took over. Killed Wesley. Killed Cordelia. Theres no more. Gunn opened his mouth, then shut it. Gunn... Angel muttered, the shame and guilt clearly evident in his eyes. Please. Get out of here. Hide. Cordelia isnt Cordelia anymore. If she finds you, she will kill you. I did that to her. I made her into a monster. And Im sorry...its all my fault-

Gunn swallowed hard, trying to control his emotions. I-I have to go...bury English....cant leave him in- in- where is he?

Angel avoided his friends stare. The basement. His neck is broken. Theres blood everywhere. Mostly Cordys. He blinked back the tears that were forming in his eyes. I-Im so sorry....

Gunn lowered his head. I-Ill go. Take care of Wesley. He started to move, then stopped. He grabbed Angels arm. Hey, man. I-It wasnt you... i-it was that...thing. He choked, his chest suddenly heaving. Angel reached out to the boy, but Gunn jerked away, shaking his head. I-Im okay...do yo thang, man. Gunn walked away quickly, his sobs so loud in Angels ears. Angel looked up, and saw the young kids staring at him. He embraced the fear echoing off their eyes. After all, he was used to it. And he deserved it.

Angel sighed and glanced at the crowd. Buffy was late. Again. And, as usual, he was stuck standing around the Bronze like an idiot. The vampire nervously brought out a cigarette and lit it. Hello? Angels ears perked up. He slowly spun around, exhaling the smoke. A girl stood in front of him. She couldnt be no more than 16. She was probably Buffys age.Hi! The girl said, smiling brightly.

Angel blinked in surprise.Hi. He looked around, just to make sure she was talking to him. Do I know-

Im Cordelia. Chase. The girl interrupted, bouncing on her toes. Angel glanced behind her, and saw a gaggle of followers in back of her. You must be new. Ive never seen you here and I know everybody. Well, almost everybody. The popular and cute everybodies. And youre cute. Whats your name? Cordelia Chase tossed her long black hair over her shoulder.

Angel was slightly taken aback. Uh- huh? She batted her eyes playfully. Angel allowed himself a hint of a smile. She was cute. Im Angel.

Cordelia smiled. Angel. How....heavenly. She retorted.

Angel sighed. If you only knew... Cordelia gave him a slightly confused look. Nevermind.

Cordelia held out her hand. So this would be the formalities. Ready? Im Cordelia.

Angel plucked the cigarette from his right hand and shook hers gently. Angel. He replied. He quickly brought his hand back next to his body. He timidly began smoking again.

You smoke? Thats so...cool! So...James Dean! Angel stared at her, slightly flustered. The girl continued smiling. So? Here by yourself? No date? She didnt wait for an answer. I can fix that.

Angel simpered slowly. This was getting to be fun. Uh- n-no. A-Actually, Im waiting for-

Angel!

Buffy! Hi! He smiled brightly at the blonde walking towards them.

Cordelias smile faded quickly. Oh. She muttered. Her. She rolled her eyes. Well. Nice meeting you. Later. She walked away, the Cordettes directly behind her.

Angels eyes followed her. Hi, Buffy. He murmured, beguiled. Buffy frowned. She said something, all of which he didnt hear. Or didnt bother to pay attention to. He absently kissed her gently, his eyes never leaving the dark haired girl, now several feet away. There was something about her. That girl. Cordelia Chase. In those few moments, she made him weak. Nervous. Like a person. Human. And he didnt like it. Not one bit.

Angel marched down the street. Down the frequently visited street. He stopped in front of the stylish apartment. Cordelias apartment. He walked to the door, and knocked. Its me, Dennis. Angel muttered. The door slowly opened. He ambled in, looking around. Cordelia obviously hadnt been here. The house was in tact. Neat and organized. The way he remembered it. He stepped to the coffee table, picking up the framed photo resting on it. Himself and Cordelia, in Caritas. Angel gazed at the picture. The frame was familiar enough. He had given it to her. An antique silver frame, adorned with traditional Irish emblems. Everything he gave Cordelia was Irish. He thought it made her understand him more. Love him more. Because he was letting her into his past. And she did love it. She had apparently kept every single gift he ever gave her. Her house was decorated with his gifts. Angel stared harder at the picture. He honestly could say they looked happy in that picture. They looked comfortable. They looked complete. Angel, a slightly self-conscious smile playing on his lips, an arm wrapped around his Seers shoulders. Cordelia smiled happily at the camera, leaning into Angels chest. Finally, Angel gently set the picture down. He had a copy of it in the Hyperion. In his room. His resting by his bed. The image of them floated in his head. He had to go back. Change his clothes. And rethink what he was going to do. He was suddenly having doubts.

Part Two

Angel walked into the hotel, expecting the worst. But when he entered, he saw perfection. Gunn had done a great job. The lobby was clean, the blood gone and the furniture arranged. The office door was open, and everything was as it was. The desks were neat, as though the gang had just left. And Wesleys body was gone. But the smell of blood still remained in Angels mind. He sighed shakily and walked up the stairs to his bedroom suite. The lights were turned on. The vampire stepped into the room, peeling off his jacket. He absently floated to the bathroom and showered in searing hot water, scrubbing hard. He needed to feel clean. He needed to feel warm. But of course he didnt. Angel stepped out, now in black pants and a white tank. He dully moved to his desk, staring at a paper resting on it. The writing so familiar. Cordelias neat, bubbly print. His ears suddenly perked up. He lifted his head. Get out.

Angel turned around and saw Cordelia leaning against the door. He gazed at her blankly, his eyes traveling up and down her body. She was barefoot, her legs crossed. She wore one of his shirts, a button-down black one. Her hair had taken a new form. Instead of the usual black, playful hair; she had it teased and tousled. Her lips were ruby red from her lipstick, and the fact that she had recently fed. She smiled slowly. Angel stared harder. I said get out.

Cordelias tears hadnt ceased. It had been 5 hours, and she was still crying. Angel sat on the edge of her bed, fidgeting nervously. He had no clue of what to do. Obviously Buffys death had hit her harder than it did him. He sighed. Cord-

Cordelia lifted her head from the pillow, her eyes red. I-Im sorry, Angel...Im u-upsetting you-u, arent I?

Angel smiled and slowly slid closer to her reclined body. Yes and no. But Im fine. Just worried about you. You want to talk about it?

Cordelia moped, laying on her back. Come on, Angel. You not the least bit...sad?

I-I was. I mean, it was Buffy. But I was prepared for it. Im not as attached to her so- A pause. I mean, Im sad and shocked...but Ill live. Or not live. Or whatever. He sighed awkwardly. What about you?

The girl stared at him. I-Im scared,Angel! S-Summers just d-died! The Slayer! Dammit, s-shes not supposed to die! If she can die...t-that means I can too... Tears streamed down her face.

Angel closed his eyes, not wanting to let his own emotions show. His hands fumbled and reached for hers. She gripped his cold hand within her warm one. Cordelia- please stop crying. I know youre scared- Cordelia shook her head and turned around on her side, her back now to him. Angel slowly laid down beside her, wrapping his arm over her waist shyly, resting his head on hers. Cord...no ones immortal-

You are. She retorted.

Angel hesitated. Yes. Yes I am. But I wont be...you know that. He felt her smile slightly. Look- Cordy...its okay to be scared, its normal. Like I was saying, no one is immortal. Everyone dies when its their time. And there are the few who die when its not. And then there are those who dont live or die. Like me. I know Im not making any sense- But its all fate, Cord...you know about fate more than me. And trust me, I will be here every waking moment of your life...and I hope youre here for mine.

Cordelia gripped his hand tightly. Her body lifted with her breathing. She sighed quietly. But youre leaving...

Ill be back. I promise.

A long pause. Dont ever leave me. Her voice was barely audible.

Angel felt his eyes tear up and he hugged her body tightly into his. Never.

Cordelia sauntered toward Angel, smile still in tact. Whats wrong, lover? Not happy to see me? Her voice had taken on a deep, sultry tone. Angel continued to stare. Come on, baby, give me a kiss.

Angel grabbed her upper arm roughly, and pushed the girl away from him. Get out. He repeated. Get away from me or I will kill you.

Cordelia smirked knowingly, unfazed. You already did that... She murmured in a singsong voice. Angel walked away from the desk, past Cordelia. Then, before he could react, she had grabbed him and slammed him against the wall. Dont walk away from me. She hissed. Angel clenched his fists tightly at his sides. He didnt want to hurt her. Not yet.

Cordelia suddenly seemed to change her tone. She peered up at him, a smile playing on her lips. Angel watched her steadily as she pressed her body against his. Angel... She purred. Scared? Lost? She kissed his neck gently, her hands moving to his chest. She lifted his tank up, and raked her fingernails down his stomach. Cordelia lifted her head from his neck and smiled coldly. She slowly lifted up his tank, letting her fingers trail down his chest. Like that?

Angel froze, his hands in mid-air, uncertain. Cord- stop. His reply betrayed him. He wasnt sure if it was a demand or a plea. Cordelia kneeled down in front of him and started kissing, biting, sucking on his chest. Angel closed his eyes and unconsciously let his head fall back. He swallowed hard as her assault continued. He fought his arousal in vain. Angels breathing quickened as he felt her lips and tongue touch his skin. A small groan escaped his lips. The girls hands touched his chest lightly. Her hands were ice cold. Her once warm body was cold.

Um, w-would you like to dance, uh- w-with me? Angel cringed silently. He was such a dork. Especially in public. Especially in front of The Seer. Clubs were bad. Why did he pick here to ask her to dance? He couldve waited until they were at the Hyperion. By themselves. With no people. Cordelia looked up at him, confused. Oh God. She was going to say no, she was going to say no, she was going-

Eh- sure. Why not? Angel blinked in surprise. Hello? Angel? I said yes. She pulled her long hair up in a ponytail.

Angel nodded slowly and gave her his hand. She took it and they walked to the floor. A slow song came on. Angel glared at the DJ. Perfect. He awkwardly placed his hands on the girls hips and she wrapped her arms around his neck. Cordy? He whispered. She looked up at him. Um, if you dont want to dance- I understand-

Cordelia smiled. Shut up and dance, Broody. She rested her head on his shoulder. Angel grinned slowly and nestled his face in her hair. Her hair smelled good. Strawberries. He sighed, content, and let himself go. Its not your fault. Cordelia said suddenly. Angel shifted, his face still buried in her hair. The visions. She informed him. Theyre not your fault. None of it is your fault...except your dorkiness. Thats your fault.

Angel grinned broadly. Thank you, Cord. She mumbled a welcome. Angel kissed her head lightly and continued dancing. He felt great. He felt human. And he loved it.

Angels eyes jolted open and he grabbed Cordelia by the hair. He lifted the girl to her feet, tightening his grip. Stop it. He panted. He pushed her away and leaned against the wall, catching his breath; trying to control himself. Cordelia giggled and tried to touch his face. He grabbed her hand. Cordelia- He whispered, squeezing her hand firmly. I mean it. Stop it and get the hell out.

Cordelia snatched her hand away. And what if I dont? What are you gonna do? Move me? She smiled coldly. Stake me? Come on, Angel, everyone knows youre all talk and no action. God, be a man and go kill someone! Wait- you did. You killed Wesley. She laughed.

Angel felt something in him snap. He grabbed her by the throat and threw her into the wall. Fuck you. He said simply, gripping her throat tight.

Cordelia stared at him coldly. Did that too. Her leg found its way up his leg, on his hip, and around his back. Her leg pushed them closer together. Angel, youre hurting me... She tried to move her body forward. Angel slammed her against the wall again. With Cordelias leg still around his back, he slammed into her as she hit the wall. He held her up by the throat. Angel locked eyes with Cordelia, and he froze again. Then, suddenly, he kissed her hard. Without control. He lost it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Three

Angel let go of Cordelias throat, his hands pressed firmly on her hips. Their cold lips pressed together, their tongues feeling each others mouths. Cordelias legs wrapped around Angels hips and he lifted her up, using the wall to support her. His hands groped their way under his shirt, feeling her cold skin. His hands ran down her thighs, up her behind; feeling the thin thong she wore. He bit her lip hard, lust overcoming him. Cordelias hands moved to his pants and she unfastened them quickly, reaching for the growing bulge in them. Her cold hands touched him, and Angel pulled away, dropping Cordelia to the floor.

No... Angel gasped. He backed away, knocking over his bag to the floor. Weapons spilled everywhere. He fastened his pants and struggled to calm himself. No. He said more firmly. We cant... They locked eyes again. Angel tried to quiet Angelus, taunting him in his head. The inner battle that was him. Angel closed his eyes, feeling a surge go through him. We cant... He repeated. Not like this... The taunting continued. Angel suddenly rushed at Cordelia, grabbing her by the hair. He flung her across the room. This what you want? He said in a low voice, walking right behind her. He wasnt certain if he was talking to Cordelia or Angelus. He gathered her up and hurled her into the column next to his bedroom. You want me to hurt you? He slammed her head against it.

Cordelia glared at him, confused. Let go of me. She muttered, making an attempt to move.

But Im not done. Angel muttered blankly, and kissed her.

Angel crept up behind the Seer, resting his chin on her shoulder. I told you Ill be back. He whispered.

Cordelia jumped and spun around. Angel! She screeched and hugged him tightly. Angel smiled and hugged her back. Oh my God, Broody! I thought you were coming back tomorrow! What happened?!

Angel pulled away. Turns out the bad ass vampire gang was actually a bad ass Goth group. Gunn roughed up one of them pretty bad before Wesley noticed. Angel chuckled slightly. Id never seen Wesley blush so much in his life.

Cordelia leaned against her desk and grinned. Wes, blushing? And you?

Me? Well, I was calm and collected. An awkward pause. Stake in hand...Like always.

She giggled. Always.

Angel suddenly turned serious. I missed you, you know. He whispered, leaning forward. His lips touched hers in an innocent kiss. Cordelia returned the kiss gently, then pulled away. What.

Cordelia moved to the other side of desk, using the piece of wood as a border between them. Angel- this isnt good... She said quietly. I-I cant keep doing this all casually. Im finding it harder and harder to control myself with you.

Angel moved around the desk until he was face to face with her. I know. His face was pained. He knew exactly how she felt. Then be with me. He suddenly murmured, touching her face. Be mine...you know Im yours-

Angel- Cordelia interrupted. We cant. You know we cant. Wes wouldnt approve. And who knows what- Angel silenced her with another kiss. She returned the kiss, losing control. Angel wrapped his arms around her waist, his kisses trailing to her neck. She wasnt afraid. He knew that. She knew he would never bite her. His lips found their way back to hers.

Be mine. He muttered morosely between kisses. Please- be mine. The door opened. Angel and Cordelia froze. There stood Wesley, his face an expression of shock. Angel quickly, awkwardly, removed himself from Cordelia and backed away. Cordelia looked at Wesley guiltily. Hi. Angel muttered, his hands fumbling with his shirt tails. Wesley continued to stare at the two. The shock on his face was replaced with a different look. A look of disappointment.

Angel threw her leg over his hip, letting his hand trail down her cold leg. Cordelia kissed him back, tugging up his tank recklessly. She pulled it over his head, tossing it to the floor. Angel moved his hands to the front of his shirt and unbuttoned it hastily. He peeled the shirt off, revealing her pale body. Angel picked her up and carried her to his bedroom, tossing her to the bed. He stared at her for a couple of seconds, then lowered himself on top of her. His pants were off in seconds and he entered her roughly. He thrust in her hard, and she moved her hips with his. The silence in the room was deafening. The only sounds were that of their breathing, rustling sheets, and moans escaping their lips. Cordelia flipped Angel over, straddling him. She moved callously, grinding her hips against his. Angel sat up, holding on to her waist tightly. The girls fingernails raked down his back, clenching his body tightly. She threw her head back and he kissed her neck. He forced his lips on hers, biting and sucking on her mouth. This wasnt slow and gentle. This was frantic and rough. This wasnt the soft lovemaking Angel desired. This was desperate, unbridled fucking. And he didnt care.

Angel suddenly stopped, holding Cordelias hips in place. She stared at him, and tried to move her hips. The pleasure quickly turned into a throbbing pain. Hurts? Angel gasped, swallowing hard.

Just finish this. She hissed, trying to pry his hands off her hips. His grip grew tighter. Cordelia started to whimper. Angel-

Funny how pleasure turns to pain real quick. Angel panted, his breathing becoming haggard. You like it? The pain? Cordelia bit her lip in response, burying her face in his neck. Angel pinched her hip hard. Her head jolted up. You dont like it, do you? The pain? Tears started forming in her eyes. Welcome to my world, Cordelia. He moved forward, pushing her on her back. He began thrusting again. Cordelia gripped his hair tautly. She morphed into her demon and bit his neck. Angel groaned and clenched her leg tightly as she drank. His blood poured into her mouth as she came, moans escaping her lips. I love you, Angel whispered. I love you... He chanted in some sort of woeful mantra. Angel came soon after, clinging to her body. She licked the blood off his neck. He kissed her neck gently. He didnt want to drink. He didnt even want this. But he was weak. And he gave in. Angel lifted his head slowly, and stared into her eyes. I gave you my heart, He muttered distantly. I gave you my soul. I gave you my body. He paused, a fierce resolve in his eyes. Now Im going to give you freedom. He reached for the stake resting on the floor.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Four

Cordelia wiped her wet face weakly. Wesley continued to stare at her and Angel, both sitting across from him. Angel moved to comfort Cordelia, but Wesley shot him a warning look. Angel placed his hands back in his lap and slouched in his seat. Gunn sat across the room, his eyes never leaving Cordelia. She rubbed her red eyes and looked up at him. Youre not my father. She said quietly.

Wesley remained unmoved. Cordelia, he said firmly. You cannot do this. You are only 20 years old. Be a girl! Be normal!

Cordelia threw her hands in the air in frustration. God, Wesley! Im not normal! I have visions! Im never going to be normal! Dont you understand that-

I understand you are going in over your head! Wesley suddenly shouted, his voice echoing in the office. Cordelia immediately closed her mouth. You know what happened the last time Angel got in a relationship-

Yo, man, Gunn interrupted. Angels right here, English.

The Brit stared at Gunn. And do you approve of this?

Gunn frowned. Honestly...nah. Angel shot Gunn a angry look. Wesley nodded. B-But theyre adults, man! Angel-

Wesley glared at Gunn, then turned back to the two. Angel, He said quietly. Angel should know better. Angel peered up at Wesley guiltily. Angel knows that Cordelia is a young girl. You are denying her a life, Angel! I told you to leave her alone!

Cordelia groaned, rubbing her eyes. Wesley- She said through gritted teeth. I have a life, Im living it, so butt out.

No. Angel finally spoke up, sitting up. They all looked at him. No, Cordy- Wesleys right. Cordelia opened her mouth, but Angel held a hand up. I-I cant- we cant be together. Its not right, and its not fair. To you. To me. And to everyone else. He turned to Wesley. Its over. You have my word. Cordelia gaped at him, speechless and devastated. Angel stared hard at Cordelia. Its over.

Wesley nodded, unable to hide his satisfaction. Good. Im glad we were able to be adults about this.

Wait! Cordelia shouted. Dont I have a say in this?!

No. Wesley and Angel replied in unison. Cordelia shook her head and ran out of the office. Angel stared straight ahead.

Gunn stood up and began to run after her. Dont. Wesley muttered. Gunn stopped, his eyes pleading. No. Wesley said tenaciously. Let her be alone. Gunn grudgedly sat back down. Angel stood up. Angel- Wesley cleared his throat awkwardly. Do you love her?

No. Angel lied. Wesley stared at Angel arduously. Angel sighed. Im going for a walk. Wesley eyed him suspiciously. Just a walk. Angel quickly left the office. As soon as he walked out the hotel, his hand shot out. He pulled Cordelia from the shadows. Hi.

Cordelia stared at him hard, her eyes welling up again. W-Why did you- I dont understand-

Angel found himself pulling her close. He kissed her gently. She responded softly. I cant do that. He said quietly. I cant be away from you. I lied...He cant find out. Ill protect you... Angel whispered, rubbing her neck faintly. Cordelia nodded and kissed him again.

Angel reached out for the stake, keeping eye contact with Cordelia. His hand faltered once it touched the cold wood. Cordelia flipped him over onto his back, climbing on top of him. Dont do that. She whispered, kissing his neck. Angel closed his eyes, his hands drifting to her hips. Youll regret it...

I have to kill you. He muttered. I wont be free until I do. His grip tightened on her hips. Cordelia froze. I have to free you, Cordelia. I must finish this. Cordelia started to push against him, trying to lift herself up. If you fight me, Angel continued, his eyes taking on a unreadable manifestation. It will only make it easier. Do you understand.

Cordelia finally got loose, stumbling away. Shut up. She hissed, picking up a pair of Angels workout pants and putting them on.

Angel stood up, placing his own pants on. Im going to say a prayer for you- and for myself. Then I will stake you, Cordelia. Do you understand.

Cordelia grabbed her shirt and put it on. You dont have the stomach for it- She hissed.

No I dont. Angel agreed, walking after her. Ill probably throw up after I do this, maybe Ill collapse. But its finished. Do you understand. The girl backed up towards the door. Angel grasped her arm and tugged her to him. He stared into her eyes, wavering slightly. I-I have to... He whispered. I need you to be safe. Cordelia stared at him, confused. I gotta finish...I-I cant protect you anymore... Angel rambled. He let go of her arm. She ran out the door. Angel put on his tank and picked up a crossbow from his bag. Silently, he followed her.

Cordelia held Angels hand tight. The only sound was the ticking of the old wooden clock on the mantle. Angel squeezed her hand, staring out the window. I do whats right, right? He spoke up.

Cordelia glanced at him. Always. Well, not always. The whole firing me and stuff was kinda wrong. But you try. And thats all you can do. She let go of his hand and walked to the couch. Angel watched her walk. She sat down and propped her legs up on the table. And Im here to help you. She paused, frowning. Do the right thing, I mean. Ill help you with that. She giggled. That sounded awkward.

Angel smiled and sat across from her. I just feel like I cant do the right thing all the time...and it kills me.

Cordelia stared at him. What are you talking about?

Well, Angel rubbed his hands together. I could do something, and I think its right, but its totally wrong...then I could not do something, and I end up being wrong because what I didnt do was the right thing.

Cordelia frowned, slightly confused. Okay, let me see. What youre saying is, you dont know whats right or wrong anymore, is that what youre saying?

Angel sighed in relief. Exactly.

Cordelia sat up and touched his leg. Angel. You are good. You save people. You are a friend. You make mistakes. Youre human in that sense. You cant always be right. Sometimes you have to be wrong. It teaches you. She smiled. But as long as Im here, youll always be right.

Angel smiled slowly. Thank you, Cord.

Cordelia smiled back. No prob.

Angel descended the stairs slowly, locking the crossbow into place. He stopped at the foot. There stood Cordelia, glaring at Gunn. Gunn held up a cross, looking slightly scared and confused. A-Angel- Gunn started, then stopped. He stared at the vampire walking towards him. Angel- what do I do. No answer. Angel! Cmon man! What do I do?!

Angel raised his crossbow. Nothing. He muttered, never taking his eyes off Cordelia. I told you, Cordelia- I have to finish this. He placed his finger on the trigger.

Cordelia stared at him, her eyes pleading. Angel- I thought you loved me- Angel lowered his weapon slightly. I love you, Angel...

Gunn watched her, and began to panic. No- Angel, man! Shes playing you! Do it!

I love you, Angel...I thought- you told me you loved me-

Angel! Shes not Cordelia! Shes a demon! You cant- Angel shot Gunn a warning look.

You said you loved me and you would never hurt me. Why are you lying like that, Ang-

Gunn threw down the cross. Angel! Remember what Wesley said! You will ruin everything! You cant do this! You just cant, man.

Cordelia stared at Angel. Do not do this, Angel!

Angel- stop doing what people tell you to do! Gunn shouted. Do whats right!

Youre right. Angel replied. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger. The arrow sliced through the air. Cordelia and Gunn froze. I have to do whats right. What I want. Angel muttered.

The silence roared in the room. Angel stared ahead, no emotion on his face. Both Cordelia and Gunn stared at the vampire. Angels eyes slowly drifted to the arrow.

Gunn gaped at Angel. Ang- why- He gasped, looking down at the arrow protruding from his chest. Angel stared at him blankly. Gunns eyes held confusion and a certain sadness. Then, silently, Gunn fell. He fell face down to the floor. Silently, he died.

Angel stared at Gunns body. No one is telling me what to do anymore. He muttered in a low voice.

Cordelia stared at Angel in shock. Angel looked up at her. Angel...

Instantly, Angel had flew across Gunns body and grabbed her. Im doing what I want. He kissed her roughly. He gripped her arm tightly. Cordelia started to giggle. What.

Cordelia wrapped her arms around his neck. You still amaze me- He threw her to the floor, right next to Gunns still body. I knew you would do whats right. She whispered as he stood over her. You always do whats right.

Silently, Angel moved on top of her. I always do the right thing. He muttered, pulling her pants off. Cordelia laughed and kissed him hard. Wesley and Gunn were wrong- I always do the right thing... His mouth moved over her body, then back to her mouth. I always do the right thing...
