Heero Yuy is the name of pilot 01, named after the martyred leader of space. He was trained in his youth to become the pilot of his Gundam, Wing Gundam. He understands the pain that the colonies had to go through and knows what he has to do. His judgement has never been wrong before, making him a great leader of the Gundam Pilots. Giving both hope and reliabilty and trust. At first impression of him, he is the cold, can be rude, mysterious, kept to himself type of guy. He will do anything to make sure his mission is complete, including killing himself. He had once said that life was cheap, especially his life. As a gundam pilot and a soldier, his skills are no less than perfect. His every move is very throughly thought out. There for, giving him the name 'the perfect soldier'.
