DRAGON WINGS: 55247
EASTERN AIRLINES
A300-B4-103   N-204EA
There are a lot of storys that suround  EAL's A300's, The most popular story is. AIRBUS in order to get it's first sale to a US airline. Offered EAL 4 A-300-B4's. For the cost of 2 million each that did not have to be paid until after 6 months. The first A300 started service in late 1977 running JFK/MIA. At it's high point EAL operated 34 A300's.   EAL shutdown in January of 1991 after 22 month's in Chapter 11 and over 60 years of operations.
THE GOOD: The A300 is one of DW's best models.  The wing is painted accurately.  The GE CF-6 engines are very highly detailed.  The Logo work on the whole aircraft top notch. The GE logo extremely impressive.  I looked at under 20X magnification and you can read the GE letters. There only 1/64 of a inch.  The livery on N-204EA is the most "interesting" that I have seen on a DW's aircraft to date.    (see The Ugly)
THE BAD: The landing gear is pretty bad.  The main gear fall out with the slightest touch, And collapse under the weight of the AC.  The pylon/engine's are mounted to the wing off-center. (they stick Out) This would rip them off a real AC. The L and R doors could be a little more detailed.
THE UGLY: The livery on this aircraft is very flawed.  As far as my research shows.  N-204EA was never painted in the White base livery.  Many A300's were, but not ship #204.  Even if #204 had been painted in the White base Livery.  It is still incorrect.  The EAL cheat-line on the White fleet was much larger Starting above the flight deck windows and covering the cabin windows. (like DW's EAL L-1011)
FINAL:  Dragon Wings has created a very interesting and nice hybrid Livery. Mixing the "White" base with the "Anodized Gray" base liverys.  But no matter how nice the aircraft might be, DW's still has created a model that is inaccurate to the true aircraft.
