Rock Band

 

A bit of history

 

                Sin Kobertura is the outcome of many years of live music fun. In the 80’s a band called YOU began to play. Five teenagers – Pepe Sánchez (lead guitar), Agustín García (bass guitar), Jose García (vocals & rythm guitar), Juan Arques (drums) and Luis Alcaraz (keyboards) had the same taste for the music of that time, mainly British an American bands (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Santana, Creedence, Eric Clapton and others). The band tried (and definitely did) to make rock something to be listened to at local festivals in Murcia, Alicante and Albacete, instead of rumbas and pasodobles.

 

                But time to go to university came for some of us and so music was almost left behind. However Pepe Sánchez and Juan Arques somehow could mix gigs and study by playing in bands called Ceda el Paso and El Último Tren.

 

                After some years of no music, we decided to gather together again to create the band YOU6. We were the same members and a new one - Carlos Tapia on drums. But this time we also played our own songs, with the features we really loved- background vocals, lead solos and love end rebelliousnes lyrics.

 

                We home-recorded a 16-digital-track CD called Gritaré Tu Nombre and played it at local pubs in Murcia, such as La Puerta Falsa, La Nave, Las Piscinas, Seybol, and also out of Murcia- The Wicklow Abbey Tavern. Some years later there were some changes in the band- a new singer (Victor Feliciano), a new bass guitar player (Luis Alcaraz Jr.) and a keyboard player (Pedro Medina).

 

                The new band is Sin Kobertura. Our aim is having a good time by playing the music we like and let the audience feel the same fun as we do.
