As the townspeople slept, the storm blew overhead, rumbling the homes and ripping trees out from the roots all over the area. Lighting struck lines and poles and the rain washed out many of the corn fields and pumpkin patches along the way. It's wrath had been a mighty one. But it was what the townspeople did not see the next morning that they should have feared the most......
For if they had looked on their broken porches and cracked stairs, they might have noticed that the few Jack o Lanterns left there were no longer grinning as they had been carved..... But had an evil grin and reddish colored glowing eyes...... The storm had left in it's wake...something too terrible to even imagine |
