WHO IS MISS ERNIE McMILLIN?
After my grandfather, Frank McGinnis' death in 1985, I found these postcards in the back of one of his kitchen drawers.
The house he
and my late-grandmother (Hazel Cox McGinnis 1913-1977) lived in
was new when they moved in, so there is no chance these cards
could have been left by previous owners.
However, all of the postcards were written in 1907-1910 --
several years before either of my grandparents were born.
I have had minimal luck finding connections to my McGinnis relatives (see McGinnis tree), but my assumption is that, if there is indeed some family connection, it would be to the McGinnis family (due to having more information on other family trees).
Information we can gather from the cards:
Below are transcripts of the cards. Cards are transcribed exactly. Various addresses and spellings of the last names are not typos -- but transcribed as the sender addressed it. Bracketed comments are mine.

Hello Ernie: I am coming to town Sat to the Dr. and if I am not too [illegible] "fogged" I'll come up for I want to see you so bad before you go. If you have planned to go any place that day don't stay at hom on my account for I can stop and ask your brother. So don't. fail to tell him if you will be at home. I am a great deal better today but still feel pretty shaky.
Yours lovingly, Mildred
