Personal Interests
- Basically, i like water .
And so of course I like water sports! OK, what kind of
sports, you may ask...Well, I started with canoeing then
to kayaking ; Later i fell in love with wind surfing
followed by scuba diving *SSI, open-water / PADI
advanced* ; next, I found THRILLS in white water
rafting *Padas River, Sabah, Grade 3/4 River* ; hmmm what
else; Have sat on jet skis/parasailing in
penang...actually i like fishing *by the jetty or deep
sea* but the simple thrill of being at sea with the sun
and wind blowing is good enuff a day for me!!

- Enbraced christianity *or
accepted the Lord in 1992* while I was a struggling
student at SP, taking a course in computer studies. It
was a late Wednesay afternoon and I stayed back to do
some studying in a classroom. Anyway, there was this tiny
thin girl, Ivy who came in with 2 of my classmates, baby
and sherch. Ivy started to share about her God with me.
*This crap again, I thought to myself...I have heard
about Jesus for many times but i dismissed it as just
another wild passion by a group of fanatic, zealous
religious freaks* anyway, this freak, i mean, Ivy was
very patient as she shared the Word of God with me... I
was getting a bit impatient as i suddenly remembered that
I have another appointment that afternoon. Ivy asked
whether I was interested in believing Jesus and to
acknowledge Him as my saviour by allowing Him to come
into my life... It was getting late...anyway, i appeased
her by saying yes, no knowing or caring about any
consequences that is to come...that was how i became a
Christian..blur blur and all...although it was much later
that I realised the Power of God and the impact that He
has on me that I thanked God for sending Ivy to me : ) ;
things have not been always smooth sailing; in this whole
process, i have lost 2 grandparents, and a very dear
friend, May Lee all through illnesses ... It was very
difficult to come in terms with their deaths and in a
way, their faces and memories always come back to me in
unexpected moment, esp. so when I am by myself; I
understand that the more I wait for things to happen and
the slower I share about the good work of God, the more
regrets I would have...Christian Life has not been a bed
of roses but I thank God that He is always there to give
me a hand when I am at my worst!!

- During my teens, I was
somewhat of a wild horse :>; I enjoy unrestricted
freedom from my parents and run around the northern
country ie. Malaysia like it was my second home; at
age 17, I was sleeping at railway tracks, waiting for
morning break to come; took a bus with a friend and which
was full of eager thai going home to Thailand *I was going to Kedah, anyway, we reached there at 3am
* ; climbing Mt.
Ophir at 18, plus a
trip to M'ca etc that was life hehe..next,
comes the wilder ones; like going to Australia by myself , real
backpacking...not really planned and you would have found
me wandering around in circles and sitting at cafes for
hours stretch..etc.buying bread to feed pigeons with the
local pensioners. I went whale watching under the
freezing condtions *of less than 10 degrees in tee shirt
n shorts! * , watching sun setting at the town (harvey
bay) near pacific ocean and got invited on board a
cruiser by an old lady*. Later part of my life, I spent
time earning more money lor..then I got a free ticket to Bali...; went in search of Mother Teresa and the meaning of life.in India by doing some little
volunteering work in calcutta ,.spent my last holiday with a
friend *who had just passed away due to leukemia,
25/3/97* ;We went to Darjeeling,
northern Calcutta, and caught images of K3 *Mt. Kenchenjunya* and more recently, to Mt Kinabalu, climbing, snorkelling at one
of the 'parks' and rafting at Padas River. Most Most recent : to P. Tioman for a dive *in search of
treasure but found a nice friend (jerry) instead :> In
may'97, went to Batam, Sikilat, a
kelong off batam...good place to do jet ski *S$50/hr *
and water ski $70/hr* 1997, planned to backpack east
coast of m'sia *kuantan
to trengganu * (but
went Taman Negara instead..see below*, and
november (3rd to 23rd) to nepal ...during
the chinese new yr (98) , went to hong kong with daren for new year.. got new yearr

This trip is worth a site of its own and i shall elaborate about it later cos i think it was one of the highlights of my otherwise bored-to-dead life.... i was there in an orphange that caters to normal and disabled children and youths..more than 2000 in all..Malang is a beautiful place...rustic and laid back..surroundd by mountains and volcanoes.... for a nature lover like me...this is like tarzan meet jane kinda encounter.... i was overwhelmed by everything and anything.....welll....
- okie.. now and then i will write
some journals of my travelling.... to remind myself that
well.. i am still alive.. no lah.. to have good memories
of those frivolous days .... do look out for them!
