| Unlike alot of bands that you will hear at the moment, Single White Female are one of those not guilty of having jumped on the nearest bandwagon to the latest music style trend for recognition. Instead they go about their own thing, seamlessly able to perform on any rock music bill wheather it be indie, pop rock, punk rock, metal, you name it! They play what comes naturally to them from their wide range of influences that may or may not be in "fashion" at the moment. They are not suspect to being forced into some styles of rock music that come and go like the latest fashion trend. Examples of bands then that Single White Female are influced by include The Dead Kennedy's, Metallica, Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Ramones, Our Lady Peace. These examples can represent a broad spectrum upon the style of rock music that they play which in turn brings a high level of originality to their music and a wide appeal to many rock music fans.
