5 Feb - The Lees Valley Challenge, North Canterbury. 75km Mtb. 6th Open Male in 3:24:14. Loved the tough conditions with the rain, cold & head wind this year.
12 Feb - Kaiwara Klassic, North Canterbury. 43km Mtb. Rode this event in support of my wife Michelle, who came 4th in Open Women in 2:09:01.
18 Feb - Crater Rim Mtb Race, Christchurch. 50km Mtb. 14th in 2:49:00 What a race! Almost total singletrack mixed with high speed descents and gut busting
climbs. Hopefully I won't have a head cold next year. Almost 380 competitiors in the event's first year bodes well for the future.
4 Mar - The Main Divide, Darfield to Arthur's Pass, Road 109km. 8th in B Grade in 3:23:36. Great race with fantastic scenery, and two climbs to over 900m.
18 Mar - The Rainbow Rage, St Arnaud to Hanmer. Mtb 106km. 2nd Veteran Male, 4th Overall in 3:50:35. This race was the focal point of the season for me, and it
was great to get a solid result. 1st Tim Vincent, 2nd Chris Burr.
25 Mar - Le Race, Banks Peninsula. Road 100km. 2nd in Mixed Teams with my wife Michelle in 3:17:19.
7 May - The Hurunui Yahoo! North Canterbury. Mtb 40km. 5th Expert Male in 2:18:49.
