Petalite crystallizes in the monoclinic system, as masses, and as cleavable foliates. The color range includes colorless, white, grey, reddish-white, and greenish white. Native Americans regard Petalite to be a "stone of the angels" and use it to facilitate connections with spirit guides and totem animals. It is also used in vision quest ceremonies to instill calm, protection, alertness, and to insure success.
