Morganite is a variety of Beryl. It is popularly known as "Rose Beryl". Morganite crystallizes in the form of masses and prismatic crystals that are sometimes vertically striated and sometimes terminated by small pyramid-like faces. Morganite activates, cleanses, and stimulates the heart chakra. Morganite in its massive form is a very powerful stone, and is well suited for use in ceremonies around the medicine wheel. Morganite has been used in the treatment of emphysema, tuberculosis, and asthma. It can also be used to stabilize the heart and clear the lungs.
