Marcasite has the identical chemical composition as Pyrite, however, the two minerals can be distinguished by their forms of crystalization. Marcasite crystallizes in the form of masses, stalactites, fibers, and as pyramid-like tabular crystals. The color is bronze-yellow, and may become deeper yellow when exposed to light. Marcasite stimulates the senses and the intellect. An elixir taken internally or applied topically is useful in the treatment of moles, warts, freckles and other skin disorders.
