Magnetite crystallizes in the form of crusts, grains, octahedral and rhombdodecahedral crystals, granular masses, and dendrites. It has also been found as a component of meteorites. The color range includes iron-black and pale brown. As the name implies, it is highly magnetic. Magnetite can be used to banish grief, fear, and anger. It can be used to invoke deep meditative states, and is an excellent grounding stone. Magnetite facilitates balancing of the emotions, and can be used in the treatment of disorders of the bones, hair, skin, and blood vessels. It has been used historically in the treatment of nose bleeds.
