Diamond crystallizes in the form of octahedral, dodecahedral, and trapezohedral crystals. The color range includes colorless, white, black, and various shades of pink, yellow, red, orange, green, blue, and brown. Known as the "king of the crystals", Diamond has historically been regarded as a stone to insure invulnerability, and to protect against cowardice. It traditionally been given to assure love and harmony, and has also been used to dispel anger. Diamond has been used to counteract poisoning, to clarify and stimulate sight, and to act as a balancing agent for the metabolism of the body.
