Chalcedony is a member of the Quartz family. It is either transparent, translucent or opaque. It occassionally displays fluorescence. It occurs as stalactites, botryoidal configurations, and in the lining of cavities of rocks. It is sometimes known to display small amounts of opal. It facilitates oxygenation of the blood, eliminates gallstones, and relieves nightmares. It dispels negativity, and is an excellent protection stone. It absorbs poison, and is useful as an antiseptic. It remedies fever, hemorrhaging, and leukemia, and expedites of the healing of sores. It is useful in the treatment of blood, bone, eye, gallbladder, and circulatory system organ disorders. It staunches the flow of blood, and eliminates vein blockages. It stimulates bone marrow, red corpuscles, heart tissue and the spleen. It remedies hardening of the arteries, and facilitates emotional balance, and transcendence over depression.It increases milk production in nursing mothers, and can be used to alleviate senility.
