| What can one say about such a song? Andrea is ecstatic about singing a romantic song by her favorite composer Frank Wildhorn, which incidentally is performed in the original Broadway version by her faovrite singer, Linda Eder! That's what my voice teacher wrote in my bio for my most recent voice recital. It's so perfect! Its more than just Lucy Harriss anthem in J&H, its the story of Linda Eder and Frank Wildhorn. This song means so much to me; its how I feel about Broadway and the people behind Broadway (I hope Im not repeating myself too much). I feel like, ya know, if one of them found *me* nothing would ever be the same. Theres be a new way to live, and a new life to live. If someone like them found me. |
I peered through windows Watched life go by Dream of tomorrow and wonder why The past is holding me, Keeping life at bay I wander lost in yesterday Wanting to fly But scared to try. But if Someone Like You Found someone like me Then suddenly nothing would ever be the same My heart would take wing And Id feel so alive If Someone Like You found me. |
| Someone Like You by. Leslie Bricusse |
| So many secrets I long to share All I have needed is someone there To help me see a world Ive never seen before A love to open every door To set me free To let me soar For if Someone Like You Found someone like me Then suddenly nothing would ever be the same Thered be a new way to live, And a new life to love If Someone Like You found me. |
Oh if Someone Like You Found someone like me Then suddenly nothing would ever be the same My heart would take wing And Id feel so alive If Someone Like You loved me . . . Loved me . . . Loved me . . . |
