| Maxi Gnauck was born on October 10th, 1964 in Berlin, and was coached by Jurgen Heritz at SC Dynamo Berlin. | |||||||||||

| Considered one of the best UB workers of her time (after all, she defeated Nadia Comaneci on Bars in the Moscow Olympics), Maxi was also a super tumbler - she was one of the first girls to perform a triple twist on FX. | |||||||||||
| Maxi officially announced her retirement in April 1986. She was recently inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. | |||||||||||
