| Lavinia Corina Milosovic was born on October 21st, 1976 in Loguj, Romania. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| She started training gymnastics at the age of 7, and had to change her hungarian last name Milosovic to Milosovici to start competing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| At her first World Championships, when she was 14, she won gold for Vault; in 1992, she won the title on Bars. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| She was the sensation in the Barcelona Olympic Games of 1992, when she won Vault, a perfect 10-Floor Exercise Gold medal, and a bronze all around. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| She kept winning several titles, but always missed the big all around ones; still, she is one of the most successful gymnasts of the 90's. She is the only one to have medaled in all seven world championships and both Olympics since 1991. And, with her bronze medals in 1992 and 1996 she became the first gymnast since compatriot Nadia Comaneci to place in the all around in two consecutive Olympics - and the first since Vera C�slavsk� to win a world or Olympic title on every event. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| She retired in 1997, and studied coaching in Timisoara. She married Cosmin Vanatu on October 23rd, 1999. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
