I grew so tired of my endless struggle.
Wanting to give up, and awaken.
Treading water was my doom.
A chance of light had been taken.
Yet I knew this was not all there would be.
Slowly, I saw something in the distance.
Was my mind being tricked?
This was not real, but imagination.
Still on the light my eyes were transfixed.
Yet I knew this was not all there would be.
Within my mind, I wanted to come closer.
I gave in and let the current carry me.
With every moment and every inch nearer,
the light was all I could and wanted to see.
Yet I knew this was not all there would be.
Soon I was close enough to the light.
A hand reached and pulled me in.
I clung tightly never wanting to let go.
My life was about to once more begin.
Yet I know this is not all there will be.
My lighthouse is forever here,
embracing me with his gift.
The gift of forever knowing,
I will never be in the endless sea adrift.
Yet this is all I ever thought it could be.
