"Strange Singers"

Here's my family at our country place.
Fishing at the end of the dock is my husband and younger son, Ryan. In the foreground is my older son, Jeremiah. Behind Jeremiah on the dock is my daughter, Maggie. Yes, my daughter has four legs, and yes, some people might say she is a dog. However, Maggie is very smart, a good communicator, and a very good kayaker.

See!
The neighbors on the mountain thought we were strange because:
While our house was being built, each Saturday, we'd drive three hours upstate, work hard all day planting trees and shrubs, then at night we'd drive back downstate.
They laughed when they saw us walking the dog on a leash, or when we kept her in her traveling kennel while we were digging (country dogs wander freely).
They also thought it was strange that Maggie, my dog, goes canoeing or kayaking with me.
I don't think it's strange. Do you???
Well, now that the neighbors know us, they really don't think we're that strange after all. Every evening, we like to watch the sun go down, but that's not strange, everyone on the mountain does that. Take a look below, wouldn't you watch too?
