Bells Toll
Bells Toll

Note: I wrote this poem for a black history writting assignment.

March the streets in silence
The church bells tolls
Martin's voice rings out
Proclaiming peace and equallity to all

The doctor has prescribed me
Something for my soul
Peaceful protests call to the white mans soul
So many are still blind
Yet so many ready to be touched

The church bells toll
And the shots ring out
Ideals still stay with us
Reaching from the grave
You'll never take our dreams away.
