Famous for its bull racing and locates in nothern
east Surabaya.Travellers can take a local bus all the
way from Surabaya to Madura island and see how
the bus get into the ferry... Sometimes u could see
1/3 bus body would be outside the ferry...
I always heard the saying that people in Madura are
very unfriendly and even the language there is also
hard to understand...But while I arrived there what
I met and saw were not like people said ....
it's all on the contrary.
a round plate on their head while the
ferry moved they stoped moving
around and sit together talking,eating..
And sometimes they did some
exchanging--eat other ladies food...
If see clear u would notice what were
the young rider holding in hands and
keeping balance....He was holding bull's
tails to keep balance on the rough grass
field.. And by the way,"the soup of bull
tail" was famous in Indonesia and I was
wondering why in the begining and now
after watching the bull racing here I
thought I understood now.....Those bull
tails definately came from here....
lucky to see the famous bull racing
cuz now it's not the season for the
racing.The real big season is during
July to October.... While arrived
Bakalang we just "met" the bull racing
....Haha~ U can see how local people
treat the racing bulls.... It's a little bit
pity that the photo is so dark after

expressions even the bull's.....
