"She's not even here keep her out of this." Howie said as he walked off.
"Where is your Lisa?" Brian asked as he walked over.
"She should be here by now"
"Does that happen to be her at the door?" Kevin said out of no where.
He looked over towards the door and he was speechless but she was just way to nervous to even move as her date Mark stood next to her and got her coat and she let him take it as she said "You must be cold?"
"Um no..I want to hang it up."
"Oh yeah" She gave it to him which revealed a short black dress with lacy sleeves, she had suede boots a few inches below her knees, her jewelry, she saw him coming towards them as she tried to seem 'not so nervous' but she was and surprised to see him in a black suit.
"You came."
She looked down a little and then back up at him "Yeah, I wouldn't miss it for the world."
He shoved his hands in his pockets "So you brought the guy from the video store"
"Yeah he's you know..okay, he's cool." Mark came came back over "Um Mark,Nick,Nick,Mark."
They shook hands as Nick watched him place his arms around her waist knowing she was uncomfortable but Mark said "Let's go get you something to drink."
"Yeah, I'll see you later." she said loooking at Nick and then going with Mark. Mark realizing she was uncomfortable grabbed her hand and led her off and he just stood there feeling a tab of jealousy build up in him when someone place an arm around over his shoulder him not surprised to see AJ "You're actually just friends with her, I mean-"
"I never knew she looked like that, like a girl..I mean she never wore a dress when we were younger her mother had to beat her into a dress, she looks good, she looks...nevermind" he walked off mad and now very jealous and AJ couldn't help but laugh as he walked off to find him.
They had fun everyone at his party did, the last dance she was with Mark with her arms around his neck and his arms wrapped around her wasit, he was with Donna just about the same and their eyes met and when he tried to get back at her by kissing Donna she looked away to bury her face in Mark's chest.

That night she came in her mother and sister were asleep, she went into her room and tossed the bag in a chair and flopped in her bed then she sat up and flipped on the TV, she looked out the window quite surprised to see him, his window was open as she watched him take his jacket off before she walked over to her window and let it up and called out his name several times before he came to his window and let it up "What?!"
"I'm amazed to see you home, I mean, I thought Donna would be, you know giving you your present." she said sounding a little jealous.
"You would be thinking that." he pulled his tie off and climbed out the window and she took her boots off and did the same "She went out of town tonight."
She started messing with her fingers looking down "Well, I have your gift..wait here."
She walked back into her window and came back carefully climbing back out and she reached back inside to grabbed the box she had and she turned to him and handed it to him "I ..It's nothing great but I hope you like it, but wait, I have to give you something else, this one is more special."
He went and put the box into his room and she went back inside to get it. By the time she came back he was back she handed him the small box "I-It's a, a bracelet a guy kind, the gold stuff you guys like but I want you to wear....well will your girlfriend.....well just keep it okay I just .....it's a sign of how much I care about you and out friendship."
"Lisa, you didn't have-" he said looking down in her eyes.
"I know, I wanted too....Don't lose it!"
"I won't I promise"
"Good"
They were both quiet a long while when he said "You looked really pretty tonight."
"Thank you, Mark must have thought so too, maybe not as much, when he took me home after I mistakenly kneed him in his you know...."
He laughed a little "Yeah, that can do it for a guy."
"Can I give you one more thing?"
"What?! you've already given me enough, what else could you poss-" Before he could finish she kissed him, he was so shocked. He just stood there just looking at her, her looking down and turned to go inside when he grabbed her and they started kissing each other, he pinned her against her house kissing her when she realized what was going on she pushed him away onto the ground and walked over to her window not climbing in before saying "Happy Birthday"
She climbed inside and closed the window and the curtains. He sat there a sec taking in what had just happened, after a while getting up and going inside.

It was like the day never happened cause they never spoke of it. They hung out when his girlfriend was out of town which seemed to be always.
On Valentines Day he was so nervous as he knocked at her door and she answered he could tell she had been sleep "It's 6 o'clock in the evening on Valentine's shouldn't you be going out on a date or something." he said as he came inside and she closed the door
"Shouldn't you go somewhere and die?" she said as she went and sat on the couch and he followed her she sat on her leg looking over at him still sleepy.
"Look. I'm about to make a big decision and I need your advice."
"Okay" she said as she yawned.
She tucked her hair behind her ear and yawned again as she watched him take out a ring box and hand it to her she didn't want to open it but she did and she felt as if someone knocked the air out of her as he watched her and said "You think she'll like it?"
"I-It's an engagement ring." she said catching her breath.
"Yeah, we have been together for 2 almost 3 years and I don't know...we need to take things...well she said we need to take things to the next level."
"I-It's really lovely, I-I really think she'll like it...it's beautiful."
"And guess what I want you to be my best man." he laughed a little and so did she as she handed him the ring back and he said "I better go do this, wish me luck okay."
"Okay"
He walked out the door and she couldn't move but finally forced herself to run upstairs and her mother followed her worried as she saw her packing "Where are you going?"
"To my place, Why does it seems I lose everything I love?"
"What are you talking about Lisa?" her mother asked confused.
"Nothing, I love you Mom." she grabbed her bag and kissed her mother on the cheek "Don't worry about me I will see you soon."
"Lisa call me okay."
She nodded 'okay' as she walked out the room and out the front door and her mother closed the door behind her very worried.
Meanwhile at that very moment Donna had accepted his proposal in front of his family. His mother was surprised but she yet again had to be supportive but she was very displeased with her son's decision.

Lisa finally cleared her thoughts and get her mind back together plus the new season was starting up so she was working out and practicing. Five months later the season had started back up and she hadn't heard or spoke to him and really didn't want too. She was still hurt but he wanted to see her and got his chance when he saw her walking up her lawn in a baby blue and white jogging suit her hair back in a neat ponytail for a change curled and she had on wire framed glasses and her bag on her arm trying to bite into a sandwich with her arms full and he came and stood before her.
"Hey" he said as she dropped the bag and bit the sandwich he couldn't help but laugh.
"Hey" she with her mouth still funn.
"I saw your game on TV the other day good game."
"Thank you, I heard about your big day from my Mom July 14th right about 2 weeks." she said trying to sound excited.
"Yeah, she's...I mean we are having our engagement party in a week, Can you come?"
"My schedule is crazy but um you know how that is I-"
"What's up with you?" he said not buying her act.
She looked at him knowing he could see right through her but she refused to let him see she was hurt "What?"
"You've just been acting strange"
"How?" she said crossing her arms infront of her.
"I don't know"
"Well...what's it to you?..just...leave it alone." she tossed her leftovers from her sandwich in her bag and picked it up from the ground.
"Okay whatever but-"
They were both interrupted by Donna walking over "Hey, you two."
Lisa started to look down and then back up at them as she said holding down her jealousy "Hey"
"Oh we were watching your game on TV, good job."
"Thank you."
"Are you coming to our engagement party?"
He looked at her and then he said to Donna still burning into her eyes "She can't make it"
"Oh why, it'll mean so much to him if you came." Donna was about to touch in a friendly gesture but Lisa moved away feeling very out of place and him staring at her the way he was wasn't helping as she put her bag up her arm further not looking up "I'm sorry I can't make it...um I have to go, I'll see you two later and she quickly raced up to her house.
