During their last show in Orlando, AJ was on stage to do his usual solo on stage but this time for some reason he called Lilah out by name and as she watched backstage words could not explain how she felt. When he was done he came off stage he raced right into her arms.
�That was so romantic,� she said as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
�You liked it.�
She put her arms around his neck as she said, �Yes it was great, I loved it.�
�Maybe on day we could make this song come to truth.�
She laughed �Yeah maybe.� she laughed again and in the spurt of the moment she kissed him and he kissed her back, when suddenly she was pulled away and they both stood before Howie, and from the look on his face they both knew that he was not to happy as he said �No this between you two is over now, it�s over.�
�No it�s not, I care about him.� she said now extremely nervous.
�I don�t care, you don�t care about him.�
�It�s not�� AJ said trying to smooth things over but Howie immediately jumped on him as he yelled, �How could you? I thought you were my friend.�
�He is your friend� Lilah said defending him �You�re not my father you can�t tell me who I will and won�t date.�
�How about we call your Dad and tell him?� they all stood there quiet a long while and finally Howie said �That�s what I thought�let�s go.�
He grabbed her arm and pulled her away she wanted to speak but she was so shocked that he was so upset she decided not too.
When they finally went back home off tour she was so sad. She hardly ever ate and she just laid around most of the day crying. Howie felt bad for her but she still didn�t want them dating.
AJ was lying in bed depressed and heart broken they dated for almost a year and no one knew but he knew that this girl was special. A knock on the door broke his thoughts. As he got up he found it strange that someone would be knocking at his door so late. It was going on midnight and he opened the door to see Lilah and she came inside and him surprised and then not surprised to see her closed the door.
�I can�t do this anymore� she said as she looked around and he looked at her dressed is the tight blue jeans and a white thin strapped shirt, her hair pulled back in a ponytail as she said, �Nice place.�
�It�s cold out, Why don�t you have a jacket on?�
�I didn�t have time to get one� she walked over and kissed him as she said grabbing his hands �Are you surprised to see me?�
�Yeah and I�m taking you back home,� he said as he picked up his jacket and she grabbed it and tossed it back on the couch as she said, �No, Don�t you want to see me? I came to see you.�
�You know I am happy to see you but if they find you here.�
She yelled �I don�t care, I don�t care, I want to be with you, I want to be here with you.� she said almost in tears.
�Lilah I want�� he said but she quickly cut him off once again grabbing his hands.
�You care about me tight, you want to be with me don�t you?�
�Yes but Lilah� she was about to cut him off again but he stopped her �But we can�t keep creeping around like this, it�s not right. Why can�t you just deal with this?�
She yelled, �Because I love you! �There! �Are you happy now I said it, you make me happy and I will do anything to be with you that�s why I came here.� She sat on the couch �I guess I will leave now since you don�t want to be with me�
�I do want to be with you but maybe we shouldn�t be together right now�you know�
�Well I am going home�.I am talking about back home to Rhode Island because I can�t stay here in Orlando knowing that I love you and I can�t be with you.� She said as she stood back up.
�I hate to say this but maybe that is best Lilah.�
�What!� she yelled both mad and sad at the same time.
�I mean �� she opened the door �Lilah don�t leave yet.� But she didn�t listen as she walked out the door slamming it behind her.
He really felt that it was the right thing to do but he felt it wasn�t fair that he had to give up someone he really cared about and she said several times that she loved him, maybe she did. She found out her flight number and time from her cousin Gina but he sat at home contemplating whether to go after he or not.
