Simkeep was settled in the ancient times when dragons roamed the earth, by a band of explorers led by a mighty warrior who came from an eastern empire. In this land of mist and shadow, he surrendered a mighty sword to an old friend and was wed to a Sim sorceress who hid the mighty Azaroth from the world. Here they settled and lived their lives in seclusion and solitude with the magical beasts that dwelt in this land. Their descendants are the Sims of Simkeep. Keepers of the ancient arts who live in a medieval world still shrouded from modern society. |

The current royal dynasty was founded after the death of Azaroth and Zenaida when Ceredwin, one of their daughters who inherited her mother's skill at sorcery married Amaethon, the ruler of the kingdom. Ceredwin used her skill as a sorceress to cast a spell to hide Simkeep from the outside world, so the inhabitants could live in peace. She had a Temple built to her father dedicated not to the warrior but to the man who had lived in seclusion as a peasant. |

Amaethon and Ceredwin ruled the land for a great many years to a very advanced old age. It is said that Ceredwin gave to the land a great spirit of sacrifice and love, and for many she holds a place in the heart even greater than her father. |
