All the castaways had love at first sight when they saw the island. At the Springfield tribe, they built their camp, and Agnes and Edna immediately began fighting. Edna, Julius, and Moe conversed and made an alliance to vote out Agnes at the next tribal council. At the Shelbyville tribe, Nick and Lionel acted like they knew how to play the game perfectly. Barney and Patty suprisingly began bonding and made an alliance. They asked Jasper to join in and he accepted. Helen approached Jasper to be in an alliance and Jasper said he'd think about it. The first reward challenge required stamina. The challenge was hosted by Homer. They had to crush coconuts and fill up a tube with coconut milk. If you found a key, you can swim far out you could find a treasure chest, open it, and find all the coconut you need. Springfield won and got matches and a large blanket. Otto hosted a prep talk for Springfield, likewise with the Shelbyville tribe (hosted by Lionel). They found treemail. Julius read it in Springfield, while Barney read it in Shelbyville:

The tribes had to find balloons that were set free all over the island. The challenge was hosted by Bart Simpson You had to find five of the balloons. The balloons had numbers on them, and the number determined the value of points. Whoever got the most points wins ammunity. For Springfield, Julius, Timothy, Edna, Moe, and Otto caught balloons. In Shelbyville, Jasper, Ned, Barney, Patty, and Lionel picked balloons. Shelbyville's balloons were 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, which comes to 22. Springfield's balloons were 3, 4, 7, 9, and 10, which comes to 33. Springfield won immunity. At Shelbyville, Barney, Patty, and Jasper talked about who they'd vote out, and thought that should be Nick, Lionel, or Helen. The Shelbyville tribe was nervous and tense at the tribal council. Lisa hosted this night's tribal council and had a little discussion with the tribemembers.
Helen wrote "BARNEY" on her card, "you're a lazy bum and I don't want bums in the tribe." Nick wrote "SEYMOUR," and said, "I think you're against me, that's the last thing I need!" Lionel wrote "JASPER," and said, "Goodbye friend!"
