4.01: "The Unbearable Birthday of Barney"
Barney's eighteenth birthday is coming up in the not too distant future, and everything is a sham. The party arrangements have gone haywire, and Lenny and Carl are afraid that they have messed up their jobs of giving out invitations. Now, together, Lenny, Carl, Marge and Homer must find a way of refraining Barney from finding out, but it soon proves extremely difficult.
4.02: "Marge's Grandfather"
It is the anniversary of Marge's grandfather's death, and Homer, Barney, Lenny and Carl are trying whatever they can to try and keep her mind off it. However, this soon proves impossible, and they soon discover that she has gone off to his old home town to find out more about his death. However, after hearing more and more about the truth, she just can't accept the facts.
4.03: "There's Something About Marge"
Marge has become the object of every man's desire at Springfield High, and Homer is getting fed up, and he believes that it may jeopardize their relationship, and so he becomes determined to sort everything out. However, during the process, he realises that he should find out why Marge has suddenly become so desirable. Meanwhile, Lenny has trouble with his new girlfriend, Jill.
4.04: "Nothing But the Truth"
Homer is called to do jury duty for the first time. However, when he discovers that the case involves two mafia gangs against eachother, he fears for his life. He is afraid of choosing the wrong verdict, and so he must do whatever it takes to get everyone else on the jury to agree with him. Meanwhile, Marge devises a plan to help Homer out, with the help of Lenny, Carl and Barney.
4.05: "Over the Mop"
It is Homer and Barney's turn to do cleaning duties after school (mainly because Dondelinger wants to punish them for another prank), and they are beginning to get fed up on the third day. They decide to make their task a little more fun, but they are in trouble when they end up flooding the entire of Springfield High. Before the weekend is over, they must sort everything out.
4.06: "Wheelchair Races"
Marge enters herself in the Springfield wheelchair races. However, she is later standing up the very same day, and she is afraid of telling anybody because she doesn't want to disappoint the other competitors in the race. She decides to pretend that she is still in a wheelchair, but she finds it difficult to keep it up. When Homer finds out about this, he attempts to convince her to re-consider.
4.07: "Where Nobody Knows Your Name"
Marge is fed up with being refered to as "the quiet one" at Springfield High, and with people never knowing her name, and so she becomes determined to take action. Her first few plans fail immediatly, but after committing a very large prank, her popularity skyrockets. She questions her identity after Homer confronts her, and she must make a tough choice.
4.08: "Art Rebel"
Homer is going on an Art trip to London with his class, to study a famous English artist. However, he can't seem to deal with the fact that he will be away from Marge for a long time, and he considers dropping out of the trip. Although, after discovering that it is compulsory, he decides to campaign against Dondelinger. Barney, Lenny and Carl, meanwhile, prepare for the trip.
4.09: "Smokin'"
Homer, under the pressure of studying for an upcoming exam, takes up smoking and he soon discovers that he bas gained an addiction. Marge realises that this is keeping him behind in his studying, and so she attempts to help him overcome his addiction. However, it is tougher than she realised. Meanwhile, Lenny and Carl are asked to go on a smoking campaign at Springfield High.
4.10: "So Low Career"
Homer decides to re-unite his old band (3.15: "The Band That Rocks the Cradle") and create a new song. However, it is difficult when they all begin to argue over the style of music they should perform. Angry, Homer decides to start a solo career, where as Marge is more concerned that she may be losing him because of all this trouble. She attempts to get him to re-consider.
4.11: "Brawl About My Mother"
Marge has a large argument with her mother, and Homer allows her to stay with him for a couple of days. However, he is becoming more and more curious of what Marge fought with her mother about, but she refuses to explain. He later fears that she wants to start properly settling down with him for the rest of her life, and he freaks out. Lenny, Carl and Barney try to help.
4.12: "Call of the Mild"
Barney notices that his addiction to alcohol is driving his friends away, plus possible girlfriends. He becomes determiend to give it up, with the help of Homer and Marge. However, he is having trouble giving into temptation. Everyone at Springfield High begins to dislike the new, calm Barney, and a lot of people try to get him back on beer. It is up to his friends to help him out.
4.13: "Clip Show"
It is Homer and Marge's one-year anniversary since they got together, and they decide to have a party to celebrate, just with their closest friends. When hardly anybody shows up, Marge is upset. And so Barney, Lenny, Carl and Homer decide to cheer her up by reminiscing about the past, including romantic moments between Homer and Marge, in the first clip show.
4.14: "The Battle Between Wood and Evil"
Springfield High is closed down for the next few weeks when Dondelinger discovers that the place has been infested with termites. Homer, however, is unaware of these happenings, and he goes to school anyway. After realising just what he has done, he is forced to go into quarantine for the next week or so. He begins to get extremely fed up, and grows insane.
4.15: "The Lying Game"
Lenny is blamed for Homer's latest prank, and he is extremely angry because of this. He later finds the advantage of lying, and so he decides to start using this advantage to get revenge on Homer. However, he soon discovers the disadvantages, and is feeling guilty. Meanwhile, Marge bumps into Simon during a class, and she feels uncomfortable working with him on a project.
4.16: "There's No Business Like Snow Business"
Homer and Marge decide to go on a skiing vacation to Aspen together, and Homer is feeling nervous because it is his first vacation alone with Marge. However, his nerves soon come to an end after he realises that he has a large talent for snowboarding. Meanwhile, Marge is feeling upset because she is hardly spending any time with Homer, who is off snowboarding all the time.
4.17: "Heat of Flames"
A large heat wave hits Springfield, and Homer, Barney, Lenny, Carl and Marge are beginning to get fed up with it. They realise that there are no swimming facilities at all in Springfield, and so they attempt to build one themselves. However, they soon realise that a lot of things are going to get in their way - such as finding all the equipment that is needed.
4.18: "Tears of the Gun"
After Marge is almost mugged on the streets, Homer fears for her safety and so he decides to purchase a gun. However, he realises that he has made things worse after Lenny accidentally shoots Carl. Carl is now hospitalized, and Homer is feeling more guilty than ever. He must choose between his love's safety, or everyone else's safety, but it is a tough decision.
4.19: "Around the World in Eighty Minutes"
Homer and Barney are asked to create an eighty-minute report on a famous traveler�s trip around the world. Realising just how much writing will be involved, they decide to do a documentary instead. However, they soon realise just how difficult it will be to obtain information. Meanwhile, Lenny reveals that he has developed feelings for Marge. Carl is shocked.
4.20: "Play it Forward"
Homer gets a surprise visit from the Springfield College football coach (1.09: "Homer vs. College Football"), and is happy to discover that he has finally been accepted onto the team. However, Marge is the only one who can see that the team are taking advantage of Homer, and so she attempts to prove this to him. But it soon proves more difficult than expected.
4.21: "Don't Cook Now"
Marge decides to enter the annual Springfield High cooking competition, and she is shocked to discover that her entry has been sabotaged. But when she realises that Lenny and Carl are the victors, she begins to suspect something and becomes determined to find out whether they are responsible for her loss. Meanwhile, Homer receives a detention, for reasons unknown.
4.22: "Saturday Fight Fever"
Homer discovers a new "sport" that is held outside Springfield High every Saturday night, which is just ordinary fighting. Homer, determined to prove that he is tough, decides to enter himself, and he is shocked to discover that he will be facing Marge's ex-boyfriend, Simon. He must choose between knocking him down or acting like a coward, but it is difficult.
