Season 3

3.01: "Deja Who?" (2)

Marge has recently come out of hospital, but Homer soon discovers that she has a case of amnesia. He decides to be her guide around, hoping to get some time to think about starting up another relationship with her or not. Meanwhile, Lenny and Carl realise that Homer isn't doing anything to help get Marge's memory back, so they step into help her themselves.

3.02: "Marge and Company"

Still in a wheelchair from her accident (2.22: "The House That Homer Built"), Marge is feeling bored and so she decides to search Springfield High for something to do. When she discovers that the upcoming school play needs a director, she steps into help. However, the actors/actresses are beginning to get fed up with her methods, and they attempt to get Homer to help them out.

3.03: "The Outcasts"

Homer realises that it is time he got over Marge, and so he decides to search for a new girlfriend. However, after being rejected by many, he decides to re-form his old discussion group, "The Outcasts", from the time before he met Marge. The club seems to be running smoothly, that is, until Homer finds out Marge wants to join, and he can't seem to say "no".

3.04: "Dance/Off"

After performing another prank, Homer and Barney are forced to join the Springfield High dancing squad to face the Shelbyville High dancing squad in the finals in a few weeks. However, they soon realise just how bad they are at performing any kind of dance. When they realise just what their opponents are like, they decide to challenge them to a "dance off" before the actual competition.

3.05: "The Cast and the Furious"

Marge is getting fed up with being in bandages in a wheelchair all the time, so she attempts to get physiotherapy. However, after discovering just how much it will cost, she gives up all hope. Homer, after words of advice from people around, decides to step in and help Marge out, and he soon starts developing stronger feelings for her, and so he must make a tough decision.

3.06: "Back in a Ziff"

Artie Ziff unexpectantly goes missing, and so Marge, with the help of Barney, Lenny and Carl attempt to find him. However, it is much tougher than they suspected, and they soon realise that it will take a lot longer than hoped. Meanwhile, Homer spends his time drinking at Moe's after realising that his friends have all gone, and he makes a complete drunken fool of himself.

3.07: "A Thin Line Between Love and Date"

Homer decides to go on his first date with Amy. However, he doesn't feel anything like he did with Marge and he finds it difficult to keep the date from falling apart. Meanwhile, when Lenny, Carl and Barney discover that Marge is also dining at the restaurant, with another guy, they feel as if it is their job from keeping it a secret. But it soon proves difficult.

3.08: "Men Things I Hate About You"

Lenny has fallen in love once again, with a girl called Julie. However, he soon discovers that Julie is a very feminist person and so he becomes determined to change himself to suit her. He becomes extremely feminist himself, and so Homer, Barney and Carl attempt to get him back to normal before he completely loses his masculinity. Although it is tougher than they suspected.op

3.09: "Power Hour"

Homer manages to destroy valuable machinery at the nuclear power planet whilst on a "possible career" tour, and the power has an overload and a large power outage takes place in Springfield. Homer is immediatly blamed, and after being forced to attend Springfield High anyway, he finds himself the most hated guy on the premises. He must get back his good reputation.

3.10: "Book Who's Talking"

Barney is blamed for a prank he didn't commit, and he is feeling extremely angry and must let off some steam. He decides to write his own novel about his past experiences, and the ending result is awful. However, nobody has the heart to tell him this, and so they must find a way of getting him to re-consider the whole idea before he posts it to a major publishing company.

3.11: "Suing Marge Bouvier"

Marge, strapped for cash, is forced to get a job at Moe's, waitressing. She finds the job difficult when all the men at the bar constantly flirt with her, and later, she attempts to sue Moe for sexual harassment. However, she finds it difficult to find a proper lawyer, and so Carl, a man good with words, decides to step in and help her out, acting as her lawyer.

3.12: "Fifty Years of Abraham Simpson"

Abe Simpson's fiftieth birthday is coming up in the not too distant future, and Homer realises that his father is depressed about hitting this age. With the help of Barney, Lenny and Carl, he attempts to help him out, however, nothing works - not even a party. Homer later realises the problem - his dad is lonely without love. He decides to search the town for the perfect match.

3.13: "Valentine's Day"

Valentine's day has arrived, and Homer and Marge are both dateless. Bored, they both decide to volunteer to help prepare the Valentine's dance for later at Springfield High. However, when they realise that they are working together, they find themselves feeling uncomfortable around eachother. Yet, with all the time spend together, they get closer and closer.

3.14: "Dead On"

Marge and Homer return to Springfield High, announcing that they are back together once again. However, Artie doesn't know this, and he asks Marge out on a date anyway. When he discovers the truth, he tells Marge that he will be commiting suicide. Now, Marge must negotiate with Artie before he jumps off a tall building, which puts her relationship with Homer in jeopardy.

3.15: "The Band That Rocks the Cradle"

Marge allows Homer to practise with his new band every afternoon at her house, unaware that she is being forced to babysit her neighbour's baby. Marge must ask Homer to stop practising. However, she finds it difficult to tell him, and she is afraid that her reputation as her neighbour's babysitter will go down the drain. After breaking the news to him, he feels upset.

3.16: "The Kart of War"

Lenny decides to help out his younger brother, Larry, build a kart for the upcoming Springfield races for younger children, with the help of Homer. The ending result, in their opinion, is fantastic. However, when they later discover just how dangerous it is, they must get to the race tracks and stop Larry from racing before it is too late, but it soon proves extremely difficult.

3.17: "Off to See the Blizzard"

A large blizzard hits Springfield, and school is cancelled for the next few days. Homer and Marge decide to spend all their free time together. However, when they realise that they are getting bored after only half an hour, they begin to get worried about their relationship, and so they spend their cancelled school days in counselling. Lenny and Carl enter a snowman contest.

3.18: "The Day We Grew Up"

In a flashback episode, Homer and Barney recall their first day at high school. Homer immediatly got on the wrong side of his home room teacher, and Barney found love with a girl called Rachel, and he would do anything to impress her. But all the time trying to do so got in the way of his lessons. Marge, meanwhile, discovered that her schedule was mixed up with someone else's.

3.19: "Chicken Pox Run"

Homer comes down with a case of the chicken pox, and is shocked when he realises that Abe told him that he had it at an early age. Homer is forced to spend the next two weeks in bed, and Marge tries all she can to keep him from going insane. However, he is getting fed up with all of her pampering and so he attempts to let her down gently, but it is difficult.

3.20: "Unlike a Virgin"

Homer realises that he has still not slept with Marge, and he discovers that he should be starting to convince her to get into bed again. However, when he discovers that she is still a virgin, he decides to lie and say that he is a virgin as well, to help her feel more relaxed. Meanwhile, Lenny and Carl go out in search for girlfriends, and are fed up with being confused for a gay couple.

3.21: "It's a-Me, Margio"

Marge discovers that she may have an Italian heritage, and so she becomes determined to find out more about her family in the past. With the help of Homer, she compiles a report just for general interest, and flashbacks to different time periods in Italy take place. However, Marge is upset when she discovers that her mother could have been wrong afterall. Homer attempts to comfort her.

3.22: "Life in the Past Lane"

After a nasty bash on the head, Homer leads himself to believe that he has lived many previous lives. After Lenny and Carl take him to the psychiatrist, they realise that he will never get back to normal. When they discover that Homer is trying to re-live one of his past lives (and a very dangerous one, at that) they must stop him from doing anything too crazy. 1
