Season 20

20.01: "Cliffhanger" (2)

Abe's car is fine, but he is badly injured and is rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, Homer and Marge are on the run from the cops, but all they care about is escaping them and getting to hospital to see Abe. However, it later proves difficult when they are eventually thrown in prison.

20.02: "At Home With the Bouviers"

Homer and Marge are both short on income, and are forced to move into the Bouvier house. Homer has trouble getting along with Marge's family, and so she attempts to get them to bond. Meanwhile, Lenny, Carl and Barney consider buying the old apartment to move in together.

20.03: "Bar Wars II: Episode IV"

In the fourth episode of the six-part second Bar Wars saga, Moe unexpectantly disappears and so Homer attempts to keep the business running, hoping to get some free beer. However, when it is shut down due to health reasons, he must face a very angry Moe when, and if, he returns.

20.04: "The Second Coming of Jill"

Feeling as if she may be losing her feminine ways by hanging out with five guys, Marge decides to track down Jill and befriend her once again. However, she has trouble finding out where she is. Meanwhile, Homer hears about Marge's problem and he is feeling guilty because of this.

[NOTE: Jill becomes a recurring character once again at this point.]

20.05: "Moving on Out"

Homer is fed up with living with the Bouviers and so he decides to find a new apartment. However, he has trouble finding the perfect place and he attempts to convince Lenny, Carl and Barney to let he and Marge have their old apartment back. But it is tougher than he ever suspected.

20.06: "A Facelift in the Crowd"

It is Homer and Marge's anniversary, and Homer fears that he is becoming ugly as he gets older, and so he thinks that plastic surgery would appeal to Marge. Meanwhile, Marge decvides to search for an apartment herself for a possible anniversary present for Homer.

20.07: "The One With the Sitcom"

When Marge is noticed for her acting skills, she is thrilled when she is offered a job in a Springfield public access television show. However, her happiness soon comes to an end when she is told she will be playing a hooker. Meanwhile, Homer has found the perfect apartment.

20.08: "A Man Apartment"

Homer and Marge have moved into their new apartment, but it turns out to be a dump infested with bugs. Lenny, Carl and Barney are feeling guilty for taking their old one. Marge, however, believes that it is more of a man's apartment and attempts to make it more feminine.

20.09: "Jill's Sex Life"

Jill reveals to Marge that she hasn't had sex with anyone since her divorce to Lenny, and so Marge decides to help her find a new man. However, it turns out that the guy Jill has got her eye on likes Marge instead. Meanwhile, Homer squabbles about living arrangements with the Bouviers.

20.10: "Smither-reens"

Waylon Smithers, Homer's high school friend, returns, extremely depressed for unknown reasons. Marge asks Homer to find him a girl to go out with. However, he finds it difficult when he keeps saying "no" to everybody and is uncomfortable with the fact that Waylon may be gay.

20.11: "The Great Lake Escape"

Homer, Marge, Simon, Lenny, Carl and Barney decide to go on a vacation to a lake. Things get off to a shaky start when Simon disappears and everybody thinks he has drowned. They all split up and search for him. Meanwhile, Simon is alive but he has broken his leg and cannot move.

20.12: "Clothes Doors"

Marge is happy when she is offered the job as a fashion designer for a popular Springfield company. However, she later discovers that she will be designing male clothes, and finds it hard to not make anything too feminine. Meanwhile, Homer decides to find a job for himself.

20.13: "Nobody Needs Bad Neighbors"

Homer and Marge have moved into their new apartment. Homer has trouble with his neighbors when he refuses to cancel his upcoming housewarming party. Marge, meanwhile, is having trouble dealing with the fact that the new apartment is on the far edge of Springfield. 1
