2.01: "The Man Who Came to Win Her"
Artie Ziff invites Marge and Homer to dinner with him at a classy restaurant to show there are no hard feelings. Homer, however, begins to think that Artie may be up to something, and he develops a theory that he is trying to get his hands on Marge once again. Homer attempts to prove this to Marge before the night arrives, but it soon proves difficult.
2.02: "My Summer Daze"
Bored, Homer, Barney, Lenny and Carl decide to reminisce about their previous summer, and a flashback ensues. Homer found it difficult to hide his feelings for a girl, and he attempted to keep his mind on Marge at all times. Barney discovered that he had a secret beach admirer, and Lenny and Carl decided to pit against eachother in a sand-castle building contest.
2.03: "The Sex Files"
Homer notices that a lot of people around Springfield High have slept with his/her girlfriend/boyfriend, and he begins to wonder when the correct time will be to do so with Marge. He attempts to do whatever he can to show her that he wants to get her into bed, but when she finds out about this, she is offended. With the help of Barney, Homer attempts to make it up to Marge.
2.04: "Whatever Happened to Baby Jamie?"
Barney is asked to babysit his younger brother, Jamie, but he unexpectantly gets out of his hands and so Homer, Lenny and Carl attempt to help him out. However, when they discover that Jamie has wondered onto the Springfield army base, the three realise that they will have to join the army to get in. When Marge finds out about this, she attempts to get everything back to normal.
2.05: "Mr. Carlson Goes to Washington"
After writing a successful speech for English, Carl is asked to attend the annual advanced student writer's meeting in Washington. However, he is worried when he discovers that he will be reading the speech in front of many spectators. With the help of Lenny, Barney, Homer and Marge, he attempts to overcome his fear, but it soon proves extremely difficult.
2.06: "What a Blunderful World"
Sarah unexpectantly turns up at Springfield High, explaining that her and her family have moved back to Springfield, and Lenny immediatly falls in love with her once again. However, he fears that she dislikes him because he is so clumsy, and so, with the help of Carl, he attempts to change his clumsy ways. Meanwhile, Marge worries about Homer's feelings towards Sarah.
2.07: "The Write Stuff"
Homer is angry at a company for ruining his day, and so he decides to write an angry letter to the manager. However, he later re-considers, but accidentally discovers that he has posted it anyway. Now, he is the most hated man in Springfield, and so he must get back on everybody's good side again. But it is hard when everybody starts to avoid him all the time.
2.08: "The One With the Friends"
Sarah still has all the attention from guys around Springfield High, and Barney, Lenny and Carl have lost their friendship over her. Homer, fed up with never being able to be around all of them at one time, attempts to get Marge to set up a dinner party to sit them down and eventually get everything back to normal. However, the ending result makes things worse.
2.09: "Drug Day"
A new special day is introduced to Springfield High, called "drug day", and Homer and Marge are deeply affected by what the administrators have to say, but they are later shocked to discover that this administrator actually does drugs himself. Meanwhile, Barney is also affected by what has been said, but in the wrong way -- he starts doing drugs himself.
2.10: "Basketbrawl"
Homer, Barney, Lenny and Carl decide to join the Springfield basketball team, but they soon realise just how difficult it will be to defeat the enemy team. However, when Homer is discovered for his wonderful basketball skills, he is asked to join a more advanced team. He must choose between the two teams, but he is afraid of disappointing his friends if he makes the wrong decision.
2.11: "How the Marge Stole Christmas"
Christmas has arrived, and Marge notices an offensive decoration at Springfield High and campaigns with a few others to get Dondelinger to take it down, but he immediatly refuses. Later, he removes all items in Springfield High that are related to Christmas, and Marge must face a bunch of angry students. Meanwhile, Lenny and Carl attempt to bring back the Christmas spirit.
2.12: "Homer vs. Lenny vs. Carl and Barney's Tickets"
Barney purchases two tickets for an upcoming Springfield football game, and Homer, Lenny and Carl find themselves fighting over who he takes. They end up sucking up to him in every way they can, but when Barney eventually agrees to take Marge instead of any of them, they are angry. Especially Homer, who thinks that something may be going on between Marge and Barney.
2.13: "Break Up and Smell the Coffee"
After developing slight feelings for the new transfer student, Simon, Marge decides to call things off with Homer. He is extremely angry, but she keeps on re-assuring him that they are just on a break, but he doesn't seem to understand. For revenge, Homer decides to start things up with Sarah again, but soon feels guilty after seeing the error of his ways.
2.14: "Marge and in Charge"
Marge has started dating Simon, but she soon realises just how impossible he is to be with. He is pushy, self-centred and all he thinks about is himself. But, she can't seem to break up with him, and she soon realises that she is too into his looks. The whole experience questions her and her decision of breaking up with Homer, so she attempts to keep her mind off it.
2.15: "That Sinking Feeling"
Whilst on a cruise with Lenny, Carl and Barney, Homer reveals that he believes the ship is sinking. However, when this is proven false, he later explains about his childhood fear of water. Lenny, Carl and Barney become determined to help Homer out, however, it is difficult to remain focused when they discover that Marge has also come on the cruise... with Simon.
2.16: "When Homer Met Simon"
Artie announces to Springfield High that he is leaving to start his own company elsewhere. However, Marge misunderstands the reason and she believes that she has made him depressed. She attempts to make his final days in Springfield the best imaginable, but she is angry when he isn't exactly showing his gratitude. Meanwhile, Homer meets Simon for the first time.
2.17: "Sinner Takes All"
After taking a trip to the Springfield church, Lenny manages to gain an extreme fear of Hell and he begins to confess to every bad thing he has ever done, resulting in nobody liking him anymore. After realising just what he has done, Lenny asks Moe to help him snap out of his fear and gain his friends back. However, it soon proves much more difficult than expected.
2.18: "Marry on Marge"
Marge gets an unexpected offer of marriage from Simon whilst on another date with him, and she is afraid to say "no" as she thinks that it is too early, so she has no choice but to end things with him. However, after realising just how lonely she has become without a boyfriend, she considers saying "yes" or even, getting back together with her old boyfriend, Homer.
2.19: "The Lenny and Carl Years"
After Lenny and Carl start fighting over another girl, Homer and Barney attempt to get the two to become friends again, but it is more difficult than expected. After giving up, a flashback to eight years ago ensues, when Carl transferred into Lenny's fourth grade class. They hated eachother, but soon, they found themselves becoming friends, thanks to Homer.
2.20: "Every Which Gay But Loose"
Homer has been spending more time with Barney ever since he broke up with Marge, and a rumor spreads around Springfield High, saying that the two are, in fact, a gay couple. Homer attempts to clear his name, but he fears that it wll be impossible when Marge believes the rumor. Angry, he and Barney attempt to find out who spreaded the rumor, and they believe it was Simon.
2.21: "Artie Returns"
Artie returns to Springfield High, and Marge discovers that his business was a complete failure. Feeling sorry for him (again), she attempts to find the perfect idea for a new business, and help him set it up. However, she is angry when he shows no gratitude again, and so she leaves him to run the new business on his own. But later on, she is soon ridden with guilt.
2.22: "The House That Homer Built" (1)
Homer decides to give something back to the community and build a shelter for homeless people. He begins to enjoy his job more and more, and he finds himself falling in love with a girl he is working with, called Amy. However, he is shocked when Marge arrives on the site, asking to start up a relationship again. But before he can answer, she is crushed by building materials. To be continued in season 3.
