Season 19

19.01: "Bar Wars II: Episode III"

In the third episode of the six-part second Bar Wars saga, Homer and Marge discover that Simon has a drinking problem and so they attempt to get him off beer. However, they later realise that Moe is taking advantage of Simon because he is making him money, and a brawl ensues.

19.02: "For Your Interviewing Displeasure"

A fire takes place down at the Springfield activity center, and Homer, Marge and Barney, being the only suspects, are taken to the office for interrogation, and the three tell their own versions of what happened. However, they are shocked when they realise one of them must be arrested.

19.03: "Barney the Driving Instructor"

Marge is getting fed up with asking her parents to drive her and Homer everywhere everytime they need to go somewhere, as she hasn't got her license and Homer hasn't got a car. She decides to take a test. Meanwhile, desperate for a job, Barney becomes her driving instructor.

19.04: "Turn That Clown Upside Down"

An old friend from Springfield College, Hershel Krustofsky, is about to graduate his clown class. However, he is having trouble doing the final part of the test - the upside down trick. Determined to help her friend, Marge gets Homer to try and get him to learn the required trick.

19.05: "Marge Simpson's Day Off"

Homer convinces Marge to ditch work at the Springfield Shopper and have a day off with him. However, he finds his day ruined when he realises that Marge's boss is also enjoying the day off, and now, he must spend the entire day finding a way to avoid him. But, it is difficult.

19.06: "Weight Up!"

Homer realises that he is a little overweight recently, and he decides to go on a diet. However, it proves difficult, and so he gets liposuction instead. But when the surgery appears to start going wrong, everybody knows but him and they can't seem to find a way of telling him.

19.07: "Bringing Up the House"

Homer feels guilty after accidentally demoloshing an old house after throwing stones at it. With the help of Barney, Lenny and Carl, he attempts to rebuild the house. Meanwhile, Marge is left at the apartment with Simon and she feels uncomfortable being with him because of their past.

19.08: "Home Sweet Homer"

Realising that Marge is fed up with the apartment, Homer, Lenny, Carl and Barney decide to compete against another group of friends on a public access TV show to win a house. However, they discover how hard it will be after realising the host has an "in" with the other competitors.

19.09: "Meat Marge Bouvier"

Marge decides to become a vegetarian, but finds it difficult when Homer is constantly eating meat. She asks him to give it up for her, and he finds it very difficult, but is determined to keep it going. Meanwhile, Lenny and Carl try to get an idea for their own public access TV show.

19.10: "Use Your Ned"

Homer has gone back to eating meat, which has disappointed Marge. Homer decides to go to Ned Flanders for romantic advice, because he is due to marry Maude. He soon realises the advantages of Ned and starts using him more often. However, Ned doesn't like to be used like this.

19.11: "Flanders Gets Married"

Ned's wedding is coming up in a couple of days, and he is having second thoughts, and he realises that he needs a small amount of time away from Maude before the big day. Marge allows him to stay at the apartment, however, she has trouble concealing the truth from Maude.

19.12: "Twenty of Action"

Lenny's twentieth birthday is coming up, and he feels upset because his parents won't be in Springfield to celebrate with him. Determined to help their friend, Marge, Homer, Carl, Barney and Simon take him to the south of France, the place where his parents have moved to.

19.13: "Clip Show VII"

In the landmark four-hundredth episode, Homer and friends are at a reunion. Homer and Marge are now both millionaires who are married, there are shocks when Lenny and Carl announce they are a couple, and Barney is the owner of the Duff company. Clips from their lives ensue.

19.14: "Cattle Daze"

Homer, Barney, Lenny and Carl decide to take a trip to a nearby cattle ranch on the outskirts of Springfield. They are shocked after discovering Simon works there. Meanwhile, Barney finds himself falling in love with a girl who's lived on the cattle ranch all her life, but has trouble impressing her.

19.15: "Mind over Fatter"

Marge has cooked a romantic dinner for Homer. However, it is soon cut short when he feels as if his stomach has exploded and is taken to hospital. There, it is revealed that he is getting a little overweight. Meanwhile, Marge feels extremely guilty for putting Homer in this situation.

19.16: "When the Paints Come Marching In"

Homer decides to start re-decorating the apartment, with the help of Barney. However, when they paint the wrong color, they must face a very angry Marge, especially when they accidentally paint over one of her old paintings. Homer must learn how to confront his girlfriend.

19.17: "Snow Hope for Homer"

Homer and Marge decide to take a vacation to the same Aspen skiing resort (Episode 73, "There's No Business Like Snow Business"). Homer encounters an old enemy on the splopes, and Marge, feeling lonely, meets an attractive skiing instructor and finds it hard to resist temptation.

19.18: "The Fashion of the Christ"

Marge, being a strong religious person, is outraged when she discovers that a man representing Jesus is being used to model the latest fashion. With the help of a few other angry Christians, she goes on a campaign. Homer is shocked because he didn't know Marge was religious.

19.19: "Why Did the Homer Cross the Road?"

Homer manages to get a laugh at a comedy club one night, and he decides to become a frequent visitor. However, he can't seem to realise that the laugh was just a one-off, and his newer comedy stinks. Marge, Lenny, Carl, Barney and Simon attempt to tell him the truth.

19.20: "The Wrench Connection"

Homer manages to get himself a job working as a mechanic, and after believing he actually has some experience, he decides to enter the annual Springfield mechanic's competition. With the help of Simon, who used to be a great mechanic, he attempts to train for it.

19.21: "Simon Doesn't Live Here Anymore"

Homer discovers that Simon is leaving for a better life in California, and feeling as if he has befriended him in the past few weeks, he attempts to get him to re-consider his life in Springfield. Meanwhile, Marge has trouble dealing with the news because of her past with him.

19.22: "Cliffhanger" (1)

Homer has purchased his very first car, and goes out for a ride in it with Marge. Abe, however, discovers that it is a stolen car, and the police are now after him. He must track them down and warn them to get out of the car. There are shocks when he almost drives off a cliff. Continued in S20. 1
