17.01: "The Parrot Trap"
Homer and Marge are moving into their new apartment on the other side of Springfield, and Marge is shocked when she realises that Homer has adopted a parrot as a gift for her. However, the parrot turns out to be extremely destructive and he must capture it.
17.02: "Cry Another Day"
Homer reveals that he hasn't cried ever since he was a young child, so Marge attempts to teach him how in case he needs to. However, it proves difficult. Meanwhile, Lenny, Carl and Barney all compete against eachother for a job in an upcoming public access commercial.
17.03: "A Florida Revolution"
Whilst taking a trip to Florida, Barney discovers that he was adopted, and his real parents now live in Australia. Feeling as if he can't trust anyone, Barney returns home to Springfield, feeling suicidal. Homer and Marge attempt to convince him that certain people can be trusted.
17.04: "The Stages of Childhood III"
Barney finds an old "baby book" in his attic and decides to gather up Homer, Marge, Lenny and Carl to talk about his childhood, from his first word to meeting Homer for the first time in Springfield Middle School, and not managing to get along with him whatsoever.
17.05: "Marry on Homer"
Homer finds himself getting into a large argument with Marge when she believes that he has been flirting with another woman. Determined not to break up with her for the third time, he attempts to propose to her. Lenny, Carl and Barney try to convince him to re-consider.
17.06: "Good Jill Hunting"
Marge is shocked when she realises that the woman she thought Homer was flirting with was, in fact, Lenny's ex-girlfriend and wife, Jill. When Lenny finds out, he is not too happy, especially when he still has slight feelings for Marge, and Homer is extremely shocked by this news.
17.07: "Homer and Marge's Wedding"
Marge and Homer are due to get married, but they can't be bothered to go through with all the fuss, so instead, they decide to take a road trip to Las Vegas and get married there. However, both of them are having second thoughts after the ceremony and don't know how to tell eachother.
17.08: "Kill the Turkey and Run"
For Thanksgiving, Homer must kill a turkey as all stores in Springfield have sold out. However, when he later realises just how important this turkey was, he finds himself on the run from a large group of very angry Springfieldians. Homer must learn how to negotiate with them, but it is hard.
17.09: "Whatever Happened to Baby Larry?"
Lenny re-calls the time he was asked to babysit his younger brother, Larry, who was just a baby, with the help of Carl. However, he worried when he accidentally revealed that he dropped him on the head, and Homer and Barney, his other two friends, were no help at all.
17.10: "I Was a Teenage Homer"
Homer realises that he is the youngest out of all his friends and Marge, and he remembers the time when Lenny, Carl and Barney turned thirteen before him, and he was feeling left out. Flashbacks ensue. Marge, meanwhile, remembers the time she turned thirteen years old as well.
17.11: "Bar Wars II: Episode I"
'Bar Wars' has returned! In episode 1 of the 6 part second saga, Moe returns from a vacation with a new girlfriend, named Maria. However, she seems to have a dramatic affect on him, changing the style of the bar completely. Homer and his friends attempt to break the two up.
17.12: "Gone With the Sinned"
After a very dangerous day, Marge and Homer decide to become more religious. However, Lenny, Carl and Barney are fed up with the people they have become and so they try to get them back to normal. Homer finds himself getting in trouble with the police after confessing his sins.
17.13: "The Truth About Jack"
Homer is shocked when he learns that Jack's police record has been wiped clean as he has been proven innocent in the crime he was punished for. Homer begins to feel depressed about this, and so, he becomes determined to do whatever it takes to get his own police record clean.
17.14: "Together and Apartment"
Homer finds out a rumor that any couple who stayed in his and Marge's apartment were doomed to an awful relationship. Marge doesn't believe any of this, however, she is shocked when she realises that Homer does. They become determined to find out if their relationship will last.
17.15: "High School High"
Homer and Marge take a trip to Springfield High to remember their school years there. However, they find themselves being influenced by a group of people in an alley behind the school who get high on cocaine and they both get addicted. Marge feels angry at herself for doing so.
17.16: "Homer the Murderer"
Low on income, Homer gets a job working at a "whodunit?" simulator near Springfield. Everything seems to be going fine until he comes across someone who has actually been killed. Being the only suspect there, he is arrested, and so Marge must figure out how to prove his innocence.
17.17: "How to Quit a Job"
Homer realises that he hasn't got enough time to work at Teen FM, and so he decides that he should quit. However, he is afraid of confronting his self-centred, big-headed boss. Lenny and Carl attempt to help him out. Marge, meanwhile, enlists the help of Barney to find a job herself.
17.18: "The Stages of Childhood IV"
Lenny and Carl look back at their childhood years, from their first words to meeting eachother for the first time in Springfield Middle School. (Episode 32, "The Lenny and Carl Years".) Meanwhile, Homer has gotten upset because all his friends' stories have included mothers.
17.19: "How Marge Got Her Groove Back"
Marge gets a job at the Springfield Shopper. However, she is worried when she starts getting sexually harassed by her boss, and fears going back to work, after realising that she has lost her "groove". Lenny, Carl, Barney and Homer attempt to help her get it back, but it is hard.
17.20: "The Artie Dinner Party"
Marge is embarassed when she discovers that she and her parents have been invited to Artie Ziff's house for a dinner party. Homer, fearing that his girlfriend may get taken away, decides to tag along secretly so he can spy on her. Marge is very angry when she finds out.
17.21: "I Married Moe"
When a beautiful girl unexpectantly turns up at Moe's, Moe reveals that he and her got married a few months back, but it didn't last when she found out he was starting to get ugly. Homer realises that Moe is still in love with her, and so, hoping to get free beer, he decides to help him woo her.
17.22: "Greece is the Word" (1)
Homer and Marge are due to go on a trip to France to celebrate their anniversary. However, Homer is in trouble when he realises he has booked the wrong plane, and the two end up arriving in Greece. Homer must raise some money so they can get back to Springfield. Continued in season 18.
