In this episode, Homer finds out he has a long overdue library book, he decides to read some stories from it to the kids. Each character plays a different role in each story:

A) Homer's Odyssey

Homer plays out the role of Odysseus in Homer's Odyssey. Other characters can be seen in the episode. Moe, Apu, Lenny, Carl, and Professor Frink are in Homer's crew, Ned Flanders is a king, Marge is Penelope, and Krusty the Clown, Groundskeeper Willie, Disco Stu, and Sideshow Mel play suitors. Also, Patty and Selma play the disturbing grotesque hairy legged women in charge of the Island of Sile. The guys of Homer's crew respond by saying "Wolf!" & "Gouge My Eyes!"

B) Joan of Arc

Lisa plays Joan of Arc. Some familiar characters include Chief Wiggum and his officers as the French army, Groundskeeper Willie as someone trying to lead the English army to victory, and Reverand Lovejoy as a judge.

C) Hamlet

Bart plays Hamlet in this story. Upon finding out that his Uncle (played by Moe) killed his father (played by Homer) in order to marry his mother (played by Marge) he goes after Moe to avenge his father's death. When the story is over, Bart responds by saying "Who would've thought that a story in which every character died could be so boring?"

This is episode #283 in the Simpsons series. It is Episode #14 in Season 13.
