Voiced By: Billy West Profile: Professor Farnsworth was always a science wiz growing up. When he was younger, he became a member of the Academy of Inventors. He created many good inventions, but as he got older, his inventions started getting worse and worse and some years he even brought in the same inventions over and over again due to his memory loss. He made a few enemies over the years, but his arch enemy is Ogden Wernstrom. The Professor met Wernstrom when he was a student at Mars University and the Professor was teaching there. The Professor has given Wernstrom an A- for having bad penmanship on his test and since, Wernstrom declared that he would get his revenge even if it would take him a hundred years. Wernstrom did get a laugh in when he embarrassed the Professor at the Academy of Inventors Annual Symposium, but in the end, the Professor had the last laugh when he saved New New York and Wernstrom was put to shame. The Professor states that he is 150 years old, but he is actually 160. He says that so that he won't be taken away by the sunset squad. The sunset squad takes every person on earth over 160 to a near death star where they are hooked up to a machine and are used as an energy source (much like in the Matrix) so that's why he lies about his age. Among other things he has done, the Professor is the founder of the intergalactic delivery service company Planet Express, and is he the oldest living member of the Academy of Inventors. The Professor may be old, but he still may have many years ahead of him. Spare Time: In Farnsworth's spare time, he likes to either spend it with his friends and co-workers or he'll be at homer inventing things. He also tries to be a sort of father figure to his clone, Cubert. Love Life: In "A Flight to Remember," the Professor was seen with a woman that has been seen in many episodes. She was seen in "I, Roommate" as the land lady of the apartment building that Bender and Fry temporarily rented. She was also seen in "Future Stock" as the only non-Planet Express employee that had stock with Planet Express. She and the Professor had a little fling and then it seemed to end when the episode was over. In "Bendless Love" the Professor was seen dating a young retired Brazilion actress. His oldest fling though was the one in which he dated Mom for a time in 2931. It turned out in the end though that Mom was merely using the Professor to get to his inventions so the Professor broke up with her. Recently though, he and Mom had gotten back together again. When Mothers' Day came about and brought back memories of how Farnsworth dumped her on that day, she created a remote that made all robots and machines go crazy. Mom's sons went to Farnsworth and asked him to get back together with Mom to end the crisis, but Farnsworth didn't want to. Then Leela said that Farnsworth should do it just to get the remote from Mom (she keeps it in her bra) and then he could leave her. The Professor decided to try it. He had successfully fotten the remote, but in the process he and Mom realized that they still had feelings for each other. When Mom found out that Farnsworth had originally gone back to her to get the remote, she broke up with him despite their feelings for each other. Since, Farnsworth has been living the single life.
