Profile: Leela was born to Turanga Morris and Turanga Munda (mutants' first names are usually the names stay the same when passed down to their children). The Turangas wanted Leela to be able to live a good life and not be cursed to live the life of a mutant so when she was a baby they abandoned her at the Cookieville Minimum Security Orphanarium, although they always kept a close eye on her. Leela grew up at the orphanarium and when she became an adult, she left and was assigned to be a Fate Assignment Officer at the Cryo-genetics Lab in New New York City. Basically, she was to assign newly unfrozen people their perminent careers. On December 31st 2999, she was to assign a fate to a man from the twentieth century, Fry. After he refused to get his career chip installed so he could start his career assignment (delivery boy), he ran away. After Leela chased him down she realized that she and him could relate and she decided to quit her job. Then She, Fry, and Bender went to find Fry's nephew, Professor Farnsworth who soon employed them at his business Planet Express. There Leela made some new friends, Amy, Dr. Zoidberg, Scruffy, and Hermes.

Spare Time: In her spare time, Leela enjoys shopping with Amy, going out and having fun with her friends and co-workers, and going on dates. She is constantly pursued by Fry, but she still manages to keep him off of her...most of the time.

Achievments: Leela holds the world record for being the first woman to ever play major league Blernsball. She also holds the record as the Worst Blernsball Player in History. Another award that she won was Orphan of the Year in 3002 when the orphanarium she grew up in got word that she had become a successful Starship Captain.

Love Life: Leela has gotten involved with Fry a few times, including their brief marriage, but Leela isn't sure she is ready to settle for someone like Fry just yet. She made a mistake in sleeping with Zapp Brannigan and since, Zapp can't seem to keep his hands off of Leela. One time, Leela met another one eyed alien in a chat room named Alkazar and later upon meeting up with him she found out that they were part of a species who's planet was destroyed and Leela was sent to Earth so the species could live on. Eventually, Leela decided to marry Alkazar to save their dying species, but on their wedding day she found out that Alkazar was planning to marry her to keep her as a servent to him, and Bender and Fry found out that Alkazar was a shape-shifting creature that was planning to marry four other creatures on that same day in addition to Leela to keep them as servents too. Leela came close to, but never actually married Alkazar. Another time, at a reunion at the orphanarium she grew up in, she was reunited with Adlai, a boy that had once picked on her for having one eye, but they soon hit it off and started a relationship. He also did fazor eye surgery on Leela to give her two eyes, although the second eye was made out of glass. When they decided to adopt a child, Leela wanted to adopt a girl with three ears, but when Adlai said he could fix it with cosmetic surgery, Leela realized that Adlai couldn't see past looks so she broke up with him. Leela may have had some bad experiences with relationships, but the future might just bring that special someone that she has been waiting for.
