Full Name: Homer Jay Simpson

Family: Homer J. Simpson is a 36 year old husband, father, and friend to many (well...not too many). He was raised by his father Abraham with the absense of his hippie mother on the run from the law. After graduating high school and marrying his high school sweetheart Marge Bouvier they settled down at Evergreen Terrace of Springfield. There they are raising their three kids Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

Jobs/Careers: Homer has been many things over the years including a worker at Barney's Bowl-a-Rama, Kwik-e-Mart employee, astronaut, food critic, marriage counceling teacher, and he presently works as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

Spare Time: In his spare time Homer likes to go to his favorite bar Moe's and grab a Duff beer. He also likes to watch things on TV such as Kent Brockman's show "Eye on Springfield," Troy McClure movies, and Bumble Bee Man on the Spanish channel. When he's bored, he also like to pick on his neighbor Ned Flanders.

First Appearance: Homer's first appearance on The Simpsons was in the Tracy Ullman Short, Goodnight. His first appearance on The Simpsons when it became a half an hour show was in the episode, The Simpson's Christmas Special: Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.
